Everything sounds promising and as 1.03 develops into a final stage I can't help but try to contain my excitement. The initial reports from 1.03 are good and that's not even the refined version. My truck is better then stock on 1.02A by leaps and bounds but knowing there's something on the horizon much better is very intriguing and exciting...
Thanks for the updates Mat as it does ease the wait time...

That’s exactly how I feel! Haha. I’m so happy it’s even at the point it is now (versus stock), then @bshammer0 has got me even more stoked with his test feedback.. can’t wait for 1.03!

Does this mean learning can't be fixed and we will always be fighting the daily commute learn when you want to drive it? The drive it like you stole it only works when you are alone on the road and can open it up. Driving in a line of cars 5 days a week doesn't leave much room for flooring it or having it know it shouldn't drive like shit.

Just be glad you don't have to leave it parked in the driveway for a week or two at a time. Then it learns to just sit there and be lazy. When you get in and crank it up it just pouts and doesn't want to go anywhere . . .

You tried just driving it in S-4 instead of D when commuting? I resisted this so long b/c in my mind was just like "I want to throw it into D and it just work" but honestly after a week or two, I'm subconsciously putting it into S-4 and without even noticing I am training myself to either shift up to S-5/6 or over to D for open highway drives. That said, he's getting close on the learning stuff and I'm sure you're like I was and just want D to be predictable every time and it well may be soon. Until then S-4 is your friend in town. Honestly this truck should never be going above 4th imo with the way the power band is when you're going 45mph or less. Keeping it in 4th around town keeps me in a 2k RPM range for the most part.

In any case, will let the master of ECUs report back on the learning aspects but I'm just getting to the point where personally I feel like we have OV chasing laser pointers w/ some of this learning stuff and if he had the learning IMPROVED in D with a solid shift map in S-mode (perhaps with some mods to automatically move to S in either current gear or default to S6 or something) that would be something. It just feel to me like even when we mute the learning it is so deeply entwined with so many other learned values and calculations killing it entirely may prove even more challenging and bring unintended consequences? Either way, good luck - it's only going to get better from here folks!

I was just trying to clarify the point not pout about it. After all it was Toyota who gave us the D, just wondering if Mat was saying he can't fix it.

This is exactly what I, as a customer, want to hear. Getting it done right, vs bowing to pressure to get it done fast. It's also why I've held off on reading my ECU and sending it over, even though I've had the dongle since mid-December - I'd rather give Mat that time back, however incremental, to do what he's gotta do. Keep it up, man.

Any agressive testing? Hows 1.03 hold up red lining each gear? And agressive stops? So far tune sounds great!

It cracks me up when people get impatient about wanting the final version of the tune, yet want constant updates about what's going on. I get it, you paid a lot of money and want it yesterday. If people let the man work instead of answering emails and posts, maybe it would be done sooner.....just sayin. Maybe people should of just waited for the final product instead of buying it in the developmental stage, and then complaining it's not perfect.

Truth. I’ve had my kit now for a few months, but just been waiting to even send my info to Matt. I don’t want to keep bothering him. I do think about it quite often but also want the best results possible. Patience!

While I get what you're trying to say, without early adopters trying stuff there wouldn't be a product for you to patiently wait for. Release > feedback > improvement > update is how this process has always worked. The dev truck Mat bought has helped tremendously IMHO.

I agree, but I think some don't get the concept of the development phase and how it takes time and the product isn't perfect.

We live in an instant gratification world. You can order almost anything off the internet and have it in 2 days. How many posts in this almost 500 pages is "I just hit send on my ECU read how long did you have wait to get your tune?" Many of us ordered our trucks and waited months and thought we would die. Remember the posts, dealer told me X my truck should be here in 2 months. We are reliving that excitement with each post of progress of this tune.
