    Anybody running a tool box mount any extra d-rings or other tie-downs since you basically lose the fronts to the tool box... I need some ideas please.

    alot still need done
    I been toying with the idea of modifying a bed cage with some tie down points. Problem is idk where to get the bed cage from. since all pro is given the middle finger

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Plenty of local can places would be happy to bend some tubes for a bed cage haha, easy enough job given the size. But what do you need a cage for? They don't make much sense unless you're going through the bed with shocks 12" or greater

    I'd thought about either mounting d-rings to the box itself or to the bed bolts on the floor

    Nah, I can too but it's a pain in the ass because I have beefy arms. Also I can't crank a strap tight in the space between the bed and box lol

    Drop bracket lift and booger welds
    This, I use them all the time for motorcycles, but I am running a slim tool box. Also if you have a drop in liner, you have to cut bigger access pockets.

    I do have some pretty big rings that I use for my tire mount though. Can always go that option for additional points. Have those mounted to the bed with a bolt and nut going through the bed with big fender washers. And there is also the option of installing a track system to the bed rails too.

    This is the kinda ideas I'm looking for. I have been thinking about a track system too.

    I like your padlocks. I have cheap carabiners on mine

    I added some US cargo rails in my bed. Fit perfect inbetween the slots. Not sure i have photos of that one, was last minute.

    why not? Works for me. The cargo rails fit in the slots of the bed and things slide over them fairly easy with nothing in the rails.

    Things can catch on the ends of the rail, but a quick hit with the grinder to make it a small angle any your good. Or get the end caps i guess.

    I went and got quotes for my axle seals and bearing on the passenger side, quotes were as followed

    279.xx$
    440.xx$
    1.1k$

    The two lower ones quoted an hour difference in time and some different prices parts I guess.

    Went with the lowest because everyone I’ve asked about them like them.

    That's a pretty low price. What all are they doing? Just the labor of removing the old bearing, seal and tone ring? Are you removing the axle yourself and bringing it in to them?

    They’re doing it all, 2 hours (85$ an hour) of labor and parts.

    That seems way too cheap. The bearings alone should cost more than that.

    I also hope they know what they are doing when it comes to setting the retainer ring..
