At headstrong they're 200 with free shipping and you just use your stock springs, at wheelersoff road they're 175 with out shipping costs and you also use your stock springs

Usually I just slink back into my corner and stay away for fear of being annihilated.

OP here’s a much better way to lift the front. It uses 5100 but instead of stock coils, uses aftermarket ones. It allows for a much smoother ride. Here they are fully assembled and shipped for $400, which is about $80 cheaper than anywhere else.

I love how that looks! When you bought your 5100's did you buy the kits?

Sweet! I knew I'd get something useful if I just stuck this thread out. That's a good deal assembled.

    Welcome to TW!
I put a set of falken Wildpeak AT3W in 265 75 R16 on my stock rims I have a 2009 TRD offroad access cab. I have not rubbed at all and had to do no trimming. I did take my front mud flaps off but I may not have needed too. I know @mrfish1991 put the same tires on his 2005 base package. He also went aftermarket rims with I believe a 0 back space. His tires rubbed a little bit and had to trim maybe an inch or two off the inner fender. Good luck and let us know what you decide to go with!

These are my 265/65/17's Michelin LTX AT2s with some Discount Tire Wheels. There was a slight offset to the wheels which caused some rubbing on the front inner fender and some issues with the mud flaps. A little trimming resolved that issue.

I wasn't really interested in lifting the truck at all, but now that I have owned it a couple years and have put a camper top on the back I think I might put on some an AAL in the back, coils in the front, and newer shocks. It won't be more than 1-2" over stock size and I think the tires will look ok.

First off welcome to TW. Ask as many questions as you can if you cannot easily find the answers you are looking for.

Some guys have just told you to use the search function and as jberry813 pointed out the search engine for the actual forum isn't that great and turns up a lot of crap you have to weed through. I have found if you search using google and then add Tacomaworld it will turn up actual decent results that will then lead you down the rabbit hole of more mods and more and more thus your whole pay check will be going to your truck. You see how it snowballed just wanting larger tires :D.

@pat_medown If you want to avoid the lift, I was able to fit 255/80r17 ST Maxx on my 4runner with no lift. I did have to do some minor trimming on my bumper to avoid rubbing. They are basically skinny 33's.

That being said, not sure how they would do on a Taco. My advice would be just get the lift that @EatSleepTacos mentioned. It is a solid lift and at a good cost too.
