I ran those roads in my Porsche with a bunch of other Porsche folks. I second the recommendation of Alice’s Restaurant. Nothing secret about that place. Just watch out for cops, and inexperienced Ricky Racer types.

 

What the fuck is up with those boots? Sheesh, if you’re gonna................ Just kidding, oh that side boob!!!!

 

Lots of cops! When I road street bike (15 plus yrs) the only 2 tickets I ever got were on hwy 9. And they were chicken shit tickets.

 

Also watch out for cyclists on those roads. Especially on the weekends.

 

It was a joke. You know, like people here say their spots are “secret”... Hahahhaha. I’ve been driving these roads for decades. Take that shit to a track day and have real fun. Stop endangering the lives of those just trying to do a grocery run. And I say that full well knowing that I have been a hypocrite in the past. I used to drive too fast and and too tight up in the hills. My little car now sits in the RV drive. I’m getting older. Get the fuck off my lawn...

I knew you were kidding. Just adding in my two cents. I pushed it a little from time to time. But...... as you said ........ I took it to the track.

 

Early weekday afternoons are much better. It'll be packed on sunday unless you go at 5am.

 

Droppin in to say whats up to all the locals- I haven't been on here much- busy with life. I am at a crossroads with my '17 quicksand Tacoma right now....trying to decide on whether to just keep it an mod it, or trade it in for a new one. I love the truck, but I am not a fan of the auto transmission at all. I have heard gripes about the manual too, but I think overall the word is that getting a manual takes away a lot of the frustration with driving the 3rd gen. I have an auto TRD sport now. I am seriously considering getting a trd sport with 4x4 in manual if such a model is available.
Any thoughts?

 

Order one. I have a friend that just did. It's a long way out though. They might be able to find one at a good dealership.
