I was just fucking with ya man.

Yeah but mine started rubbing with aftermarket methods. I think that plays a lot of a part in clearing these.

So no issues rubbing with the 4runner PRO wheel offset at a height under 2 inches up front?

Just got off the phone with Discount Tire to order my ST Maxx in 255/85/16. The guy tried to talk me out of it and told me it would "100% rub" on my stock suspension setup. He also told me they're discontinuing the ST MAXX....I've got 5 of them on the way.

Not that I’ve felt. Haven’t fully flexed yet but clearance seems pretty good

Hey man whatever works for you. For me the extra 23lbs per tire was just too much to go with the Maxx's. It isn't so much the MPG's for me it was more of the extra wear and tear on the drive train and other components that got me thinking about the weight. I also tow a travel trailer so the extra burden of the heavier tires was also in my mind. Don't get me wrong I like the looks of the Maxx's! Good luck with whatever you choose.

    none...yet
That's a good point, I didn't think of extra wear and tear on the other components, but yeah then again I never have any weight on this truck, except for camping/snowboard gear which isn't too much. But definitely something to think about.

I asked this question before but just want to be sure

So most people with 255/85/16 and stock wheels and no lift experience no rubbing. But if I add wheel spacers to push out the wheels, giving it a little more aggressive stance, that could possibly rub?

Looks great! How much performance difference do you notice? I'm tending to go for regular Cooper S/T to save the 12 lbs but the MAXX sure do look goooooood!

Can anyone explain the difference between the cooper ST vs ST MAXX?

St maxx has a strong sidewall. That's why they weight 12lbs more. less likely to have anything go the well off road, can run at a low tire pressure.

St is a AT tire and the Maxx is a AT/MT hybrid. Having both tires before I feel the st maxx does do better off road.

It hasn't been long enough for me to really say. My on screen MPG is approx 16.5-17, whereas before it was around 18.5-19. Not sure what that would be calculated with the difference in stock tire size, etc. but I'm really liking them. They really don't feel that different from stock tires. Very quiet.
