    update-
She's all hooked up and functional now. The Prado kit came with a "S" rubber coupler to route from the snokel to the intake box. It was close to fitting but was about 2" short. So I cut it in the middle, and put a 3" aluminum pipe extension in between. The hose diameter fits into the fender intake hole PERFECT. It was a tight fit where it hooks up to the snorkel inside the fender, but everything worked out.:bananadance: So all in I'm about ~$200. ($150 for the Prado 150 kit, which I used most of the components and ~$50 for the landcruiser where I just used the "L" intake scoop head out of it.)

Grill is all coated and installed.

here is a top view. It doesn't obstruct my view at all and sits as low/streamline as I could make it

So now that it’s all said and done, could the average joe whip one up or did you use your printer for anything? (I can’t remeber)

I ended up not using anything 3d printed. I think the average person could do this now that I've been through the trial and error process. The hardest part is going to be where to cut a hole. Obviously there is no template... I just held it up, marked it, and went to town. Second, you could do the entire install with the Prado 150 kit for $150 but it comes with the "hairdryer" style intake scoop. Last, I did not drill holes in the a-pillar for the bracket mount because my roof rack was so close I make a bracket off that. So for anyone else, they would have to fab up a drop bracket to bolt higher up on the snorkel to the a-pillar. Hope this helps.

What is the inside diameter of that top piece? I think I’m going to do one as well. But mine can just be a straight piece of aluminum from the top of the fender to that intake piece. The only bends will be inside the fender.

Inside diameter of the top piece. You have a tube that slides into the intake bit. I need to purchase that kit and some pipe. The pipe will need to slide into that intake piece.

I guess I could just order the kit and measure myself.

The top "intake head" is not circular. It looks more like a kidney shape. as well as the entire snorkel body. I assume it is this shape so it "hugs" the A-pillar closer.
from there it goes into the fender with a oval hole (~7"X3") and into the S rubber boot. The other end of the boot drops down to a ~3.25" round outlet.
    hope this helps.

That does help. Maybe I’ll get semi thin wall aluminum and ovalize it a bit. Or in kidney shape the intake head.

It’s never easy is it.
