ADS comes with a clear cerakote for free.

No "oem" and "racing series". The OE shocks use the same racing parts.

Progressive compression valved and Digressive rebound valving=utra smooth ride.

    triple seals

    higher quality aluminum parts.

    Shorter wait.

All my tacomas will have ADS shocks...when i can afford it ha

Picked up the HW for the GoPro (Thanks mechanicjon). Gonna try to find this damn 65-70MPH shake (already replaced the drive shaft support bearing).

Not sure what to point the camera at just now. Maybe start with one side and then the other?

    You have kings on Igor?
Can you describe the difference between the kings and ADS? I still have OME suspension but I'm looking into something else once the shocks wear out. Only ever heard good things about ADS.

Well my ADS shocks are with LT...which is WAY smoother in every situation than my kings.

is that a fair comparison? i dont know. Probably not.

My dad's 2nd gen though has ADS front and rear and my god. That thing is a cadlilac...everywhere. Why I want ADS for Igor. It's smooth everywhere.

Today my '96 took a step towards 21st century self driving :) by getting its cruise control reactivated. When I got him the horn and cruise control didn't work. At first I thought, no biggie, I drove for years that way. Well, gotta long trip coming up, and cruise would be nice. Opened up the steering wheel and the spiral cable was missing! Who does that? The horn wire was also broken. Many hours later, mostly futzing with a sticky cruise on/off switch and with a new used spiral wheel from Japanese Truck Dismantling (thank you, the w/cruise ones seem scarce), he's cruisin' again. And the horn works! To celebrate we toasted with new front diff and transfer case oil. The front diff had a wad of sticky goo on the drain. Hope that didn't used to be something important. Yesterday was flush the power steering/clean reservoir screen. Black yuck in there. Next up is tranny fluid. I'm really oily these days.

Many thanks to all that share their knowledge here. It's really helping my projects.

Boy oh boy do I love having a sandblaster. Seriously invest in a sandblaster if you plan on doing any metal refinishing. It's worth every penny.

I'm going to be powder coating these red if anyone wants them.

Yep. They're my old ones - my 13WL's are on the truck already. Felt like cleaning up my old ones and putting them up for sale.

Hey I can offer sandblasting services at a reasonable price, haha. I can scale through thick rust with the Garnet media, or strip paint with the glass bead media.

I'm picking up a bigger blasting cabinet this weekend this one isn't cutting it for me. I keep finding myself using it.

Tabletop harbor freight one is relatively cheap. Sub $200.

I got mine off Craigslist - got it as a package with the 60 gal air compressor, sandblaster and a nice drill press for $400! Guy I bought it from is a first gen owner too.

I'm down haha, I'm sure I'll have a load of things once I start tearing into this V8 and 4x4 swap.

I'm just imagining the nightmare it will be to get that SMOG legal with the California BAR.
