    Pretty much stock right now
    I have an ebay ISaddle, which was under $20. Works with iPhone, wifi I think. Does everything I need, but I don't leave it in. In fact, I hope I never need to use it again (no more MIL on please). The Torque app will not work on an iPhone.

    If you have an iPhone you need one that goes by wifi. Apple blocks cheapo chinese bluetooth. I got one of the cheap Amazon readers with wifi and free app OBDCarDoctor. Works fine to read/clear codes. I just google the code that pops up.

    Someone said in a review you have to turn it on every time you start the vehicle instead of it turning on by itself. So idk if I'm gonna do it.



    Do any Bluetooth readers work with ios?

    Came used with brush guard, winch and bed cover.
    Looking at their site, it doesn't look like the paid features are applicable to the 1st Gens anyway.

    Hey so I currently have a 2001 Tacoma V6, some of the OBDII recommendations sound great. I have an iOS device. The function I am most looking for is to measure the MPG on my vehicle because I think something is eating up my fuel efficiency.

    no one has mentioned this function explicitly as a feature so I am just wondering which of these devices offer that function?

    as a function of the scanner and app, yes, kind of. They might be able to calculate a mpg figure based on data inputs, rpm, throttle position, mph etc. I dont know that I would use it that way to diagnose a problem. Looking at fuel trims, long and short term, would be a better way "see" what the engine is doing. My 96 tacoma 4X4, automatic, 31 10.50 X 15 + city driving... 12 mpg

    I use OBD fusion for that. I think it's a calculated value (not like there's a dedicated sensor for that) but I like the app. The only gripe I have is it must be open to work continuously, which is annoying on road trips when you want to have nav open.     I use BlueDriver as well.
    As far as a “level 2” user it works good and gives me decent info. I would like to leave it connected 24/7 as a previous reply mentioned, but I have another device running plugged into that OBD sockett. ScanGuage

    BTW I realize I'm a 2nd gen in a 1st gen thread, but thanks for answering my questions. The comments on overall usability of the options involved and everyone's feedback on their preference is very helpful.
