Damn dude, sorry to hear! It's freaking crazy out there. Roommate just got turned down from a programming gig she was really hoping to get, which sucks.

I'll let you know if I stumble across anything... been sort of a roller coaster all around. Hopefully if I manage to make a good impression with my CNC skills I may be working with @XPOTRPR soon... :D

Still kind of peeved at the lack of professional courtesy I've gotten from some of these places I've applied to... Hell, the roommate showed up to an interview that was arranged by *someone* to come in the very next day, when she shows up they're like "oh we're not hiring, I dunno why they asked you to come in!" I would have been livid.

ATF plates came matching. KILL plates cake matching. JIHDKLR came matching. 2 others did not.
Is that what it’s for? Seems to be for people 1) mostly who aren’t on the forum, 2) think they’re somehow too badass to be on the forum, 3) like to cruise on the blacktop like a 90s car club, no dirt, any vehicle welcome, 4) seems like @JuansTaco knows 1/2 of them lol

@Nitori is roommate really roommate? FWB? How’d y’all become roommates? Had figured that she was paying the bills while you’re funemployed, but that you were dicking her down for “rent” or something.

You guys are relentless! Nothing like that at all. We met playing video games, believe it or not. We met in real life because she sold me a craftsman jack and jack stands.
Everyone tends to assume we're FWB or married or something, and sometimes we just roll with it but, let's just say she's a taco enthusiast in more than one way.:taco: *ahem* something something Subaru Forester demographics...:taco::taco: Not nice of me to put it that way, but I know the accusations of friend-zoning will fly otherwise.:bananadead:

To pay rent at this point, basically I'm liquidating assets, drawing down on a small inheritance, and both our families are helping out here and there which is truly a godsend.

Speaking of which any of you nerds want a very decked out Miata?

It's looking very much like I will have to part ways with it soon. :(

Eh for me I think it's pointless to get a 1500 type truck, if I need a bigger truck I'll go 2500 an diesel.

It's not happening, I like others have said 5 years is awhile. I have 0 need for a 2500 at the moment. An my taco will have better resale once it's time to get one.
Ehh I'll never buy a used LT truck unless I have money to blow or know the owner personally.
You never know what bro owned this an how hard they beat it. Looks clean though.
Yup same as other I too just got a new set of plates an got 2
Ehh if I go ram I would go newer like 15-17

I was thinking about asking 10K and going from there.

I know that is a pretty eye-watering price for a 1st gen Miata but agreed value insurance on it is 12,500 and the mod list on this thing is... extensive.

First things first, it has ~85,000 miles and not a speck of rust, and came with the LSD package from the factory.
Then under the hood it's had all new hoses, belts, new radiator with high performance shroud and fans, performance intake cam with adjustable gear, full exhaust including new cat, new clutch with lightweight flywheel, new upgraded injectors, carbon cowl intake, basically everything on the Miata that's been proven to make power and nothing that hasn't. Happily revs to the moon.

The entire suspension was pulled out and every last part was refreshed or replaced with a Japanese spec-racing setup with coilovers that have adjustable damping.
New R-package tie rods to account for the lower suspension geometry, new mazdaspeed bushings, the works.
"Big" brake kit on the front, and upgraded to the 2nd gen "sport" calipers in the rear...
Interior meticulously kept and reverted back to the original early 90's style. That's a genuine Nardi wheel too, by the way.
I did put a roll bar on it and switched to racing bucket seats after this pic but I still have the OEM seats and they would come with the car- no tears. Speaking of the seats, this thing will come with a massive pile of spares.

Uhhh what else... fenders have been rolled, body seam welded up front, anywhere there was damage to the paint has been addressed... Some minor door dings that couldn't be pulled.

Hell I'm probably forgetting some things too. It's a show winning car that's been worked over in every last aspect by me... gotta be into at least 500 hours of work by yours truly. But, I'm not the type to think I'm gonna get all that back on the other side so I think 10 is more than fair to start.

Exactly. To build the IFS so that it has big travel and be reliable will cost so much more. Something for us normal people that wouldn't make sense. I think for the weekend/monthly rock crawling person solid axle is the way to go.

LED's cost 10x more than HID but every overlander expo cool guy still has them. I prefer HID due to cost but I couldn't say that makes my HID's better technology
