I actually was just looking around there and I REALLY am liking that slimline winch bumper. So tempted to get one of those to reinforce the front-end and get something for good recovery because the first thing I dont want to do is go wheeling and get stuck haha.

Since you have the sliders on order, get a Hi-lift jack either 48" or 60" , a slider adapter (they sell them on here somewhere), and jack mounts to mount the jack to your side rails with T-nuts. SOS may make the jack mounting brackets unless you can make them

I also made tool mounts with steel brackets and quick fists for axe and shovel and a fire extinguisher mount

These are simple brackets to make. The quickfists hold things nice and tight. These can be made with simple tools. The quick fists can be ordered from Amazon along with the T-slot nuts. The nuts are pricy but hold everything securely. All this allows you to keep your stuff easily reachable and up out of the bed floor.

I changed the fasteners to hold the jack in place to these plastic knobs with threaded inserts I found at Lowes

I was just looking at those hi-lift's a few days ago and now I can't remember where i saw mounting brackets. I do remember them being insanely priced though (I think upwards of 79 dollars?) but that was another suggestion to me from my buddy too is he said the hi-lift is one of the best portable buys I can make.

Also, update! Looks like my Alcan springs are about a week out from being done! I need to order my u bolt flip and bumpstops!

You said you were ordering a TRD skid plate I believe. Is this the only skid you are considering or are you going to want a full set?

I will likely be ordering a T-case skid from SOS also while the tax sale is going on. The t-case covers some areas that as I thought about it more I really didn't want dinged up. My truck isn't too high off the ground and won't be after my new rear leaf springs come in, so I definitely want that protected!

The reason I was asking is the skids usually link together as a sort of system. The TRD skid will most likely not work with the others. The SOS IFS skid is much larger and longer than the TRD skid. The t-case skid can certainly be hung independantly though in this case. You remove the nuts from the trans cross member (do not remove the bolts). raise the t-case skid up with a floor jack and slip it over the cross member bolts and start your nuts. Jack it up until it contacts the frame and you'll have to drill 4 holes in the bottom of the frame to finish bolting it up. Eddy makes beefy pieces that will protect it very well

:notsure: All I get is crickets in here! What’s going on with the truck? Waiting on parts? Anything new? Any new adventures?
