Some guys want a taller truck with no additional performance. It's like chrome exhaust tips from Walmart. Shiny!

You can probably twiddle some bits and unlock it. I'm sure none of that crap is very secure.

That sort of thing is what I do for a living. One of the recent projects I led was vulnerability research on a Tesla, and after that, my view on the current state of car security is that it's about equivalent to mid 90s internet security.

People are starting to publish papers and give presentations on it (I'm sure you've all seen the videos of the guys who remotely took control of a Jeep) and automakers are trying harder, so that's good for us at least.

A half built EMP device would render them useless anyway

Well, yeah. But if someone actually starts weaponizing wide-area EMPs we have way bigger problems

Our trucks are fucked by an EMP just as well.

That settles it, we all need to upgrade to FJ60s!

Until you realize that gas pumps require electricity and circuitry to operate and will likely require us to all upgrade to bicycles.

Do FJ60s have ECUs? Cause I'd honestly rather have one of those.

I don't think you'll find much. Everyone in the bed bracket thread was super happy about them. Mine had decent weld beads but poor attention to detail - only welded on one side, poor penetration, gaping, warping, and twisting - telling me he was just trying to knock them out fast / had a poor cutting method...
I also didn't like the design after looking at it in person - the vertical support bent long ways and welded to the base, which added to the warping and twisting and weakened strength.

I'm being picky, but I do this stuff for a living...

I built my own out of 1/4 aluminum and welded them together myself

I'm only trying to help you out. This is the first I've posted of this - Not looking to bash anyone

I just got a quote back from him for shipping. I'm going to pass simply based on that, not your review :)
