    No, bubble gum!!

My fix is to replace the seal for a third freaking time, being SURE not to drive it in too deep again. I got a pro tip to push it in 95% of the way, and then when I reinsert the CV it’ll push it in the rest of the way seating it perfectly.

@Redmann and I figure the $$ diff is because HS prices in shipping charge and says free shipping but Wheelers charges shipping straight up

o_O Ummm personally I would use something like this that way you can drive it into the point you need to. You are probably not going to shove the axle hard enough to drive the seal in plus you run the risk of damaging the seal lips with the axle trying to do that. Have you looked at your axle shaft where the seal rides if there is a groove cut into it that can be an issue. You should be able to rent this at like an autozone or something like that its a bearing race/seal driver set. Hope you can get it fixed leaks are never fun especially ones that won't go away.

This makes sense. Didnt you go passed the seat position during replacement #2?

I bought the one from ECGS when I bought the bushing. Can't wait to use it the one time so I can tell myself it was worth the money hahaha

I just used a PVC coupler (2"?) and worked it in on mine. Leaked slightly for a day then must have swelled or gummed up and all is good.

Yeah something to drive the seal evenly but then when you get to the diff you can't drive it any further in. A block of wood works anything really.

Ummmm, yeah I have a Mercedes head bolt socket I used maybe 2 times doing head gaskets just that socket was 180 bucks, I still don't feel like it was worth the $$$. I have a ton of tools in storage that are like that or that I made (and forgot what they are for). They make specialty tools for a lot of things sometimes they are needed other times you can make do with what ya got.

No this time I need to channel my inner zen and be as gentle as a butterfly driving this thing in! I’m gonna be so annoyed if it still leaks. The funny thing is, this side wasn’t leaking. I only replaced it as preventative maintenance :annoyed:

So... long story simplified. Installed a new furnace in a new house and converted it to propane. No power at the time so I could not test start it. Inspector wouldn't pass it cuz i didn't adjust my manifold pressures.... that's fine, I kind of figured... So electrician wires it In, I go make my adjustments and document the settings where the inspector told me to.... Inspector doesn't believe my settings so now I'm back here to start the furnace and hold his hand as I show him how to do his job.... been here for 2 and a half hours and he still hasn't showed up lol

That was my referance especially with the making a video suggestion that scene just popped in my head. That and I've probably been watching too much AVE on youtube.
