Just wait till 1.03 and 1.03B M/T drop!

Gong show will not begin to adequately describe the mayhem :)

This is the most anticipated release yet.. and in a way Mat has chummed the water by "teasing" us with all the goodies he plans on implementing lol.

I honestly don't know how he puts up with most of us :drunk:

Right? Seemed pretty clear that they were buying into something in the development phase without a hard deadline.

I'm waiting to pull the trigger. Appreciate those that adopted early to help facilitate the development of this tune.

In the meantime, let' be patient and let the man do his work.

@OVTune , quick question.. when do you see a M/T truck going on the dyno?

I mean, you said 2GR-FKS... but I wanna eliminate wiggle room lol

    Very, very exciting.

Not to diminish what you will be doing for us on the 14th, but the images of the previous dyno graphs were pretty bad. Hard to read, and the axis indices and/or titles were actually cut off.

This time around, it would be really nice of you could take better photos of the monitor or, better yet, capture some electronic images that you could post for us.

Thank- you for your consideration....................... Frank

If that's at peak RPM, I for one won't care.

Power wise, what's way more important to me is filling out the torque curve below peak.

@bshammer0 , I didn't want to take time away from Mat, I was wondering if 1.03 takes care of or at least calms down that away rpm rev up when at an idle & turning the steering wheel. I know why it's like that, but doesn't mean I like it. I have to set my beer down and really focus backing up to a trailer the way it wants to jump with the slightest twitch of the wheel. :)

Brandon I flashed the gearbox P5-CAN-bus back to the saved factory setting and I like the way its working with the 1.02c c shift tune. I think the truck had something like 700-800 miles on it when that was saved. Truck going to dealer tomorrow for diff recall service.

Cool, report back as you log some miles! So you didn't reflash the ECU file from OV, only the stock gearbox file, leaving your tune file intact or did you reflash both?

Good luck on the diff recall - hopefully they don't keep your truck too long!

Only the gearbox file was flashed. Still running the same OV 1.02c c shift tune.

I'll put some miles this weekend and report back. Hope they don't keep truck, service advisor said it would take about 4 hours?

Sounds about right, now that people aren’t waiting weeks or months for parts anyway!

Have you run other versions of the tune?

Yup, more torque is necessary. Peak HP is fine. Didn't someone do a few test runs and actually run faster 0-60 on the stock tune?

Yes. I HATE that stupid idle jump. It's terrible when pulling in or out of the garage, really have to be careful on the brakes so you don't end up running into something when the RPMs jump. Mine will actually spin the rear tires when backing out of the garage in the morning because of this, but there gets to be a little snow/ice on the slick pavement when the temps are really cold here.

I've previously run 1.02c a shift. Liked it but the 1-2 shift was a bit too aggressive. The c version is my favorite.

Hey everyone, I built this little app that I hope will make updates for everyone super smooth and easy.
enter your dongle number for activation and you will have the links to all necessary software you need to install / setup
You can also go direct to calibration files and download anything that you need, your Original (stock) tune files, Our calibration files for X/Y/Z Octane
TCU Files as they become available, and more.

All downloads will be updated through this so you don't need to wait for an email.
I'll have a download link soon
This will initiall support the 2016-2017, and will later support 2018 ECUs
