With your leaf springs under the axle, they do hang lower and you run the risk of them getting hung up on a rock, but you gain more uptravel.

 

Just wheel right and let the tire go over the obstacle instead of around it and you will be good!

Nope. But like @Coot83 said, run your tire up and over or a bit further around a rock to avoid hanging up on it. The ubolt plates for sua are also really stout so you could slide on them if needed just not ideal.

 

Yep that's exactly what I do...They do typically design the bottom plates as mini skid plates in a sense with a decent front lip to them. Just make sure you trim up your bolts after you install them as they can be a little long.

There is so much lift it looks like i could lay down n camp out in that wheel well, more flex is always nice though. Cant say im not trying to do the same

 

Hahaha it looks more normal/level at ride height. You can droop them down really low as well, but that up travel is the main advantage!

Nice man, ever get the itch for a new ride since you see them daily? Im not a big fan of the third gens, but that new blue pro color is rather nice.

 

Although the 3rd gens do have a nicer interior for sure, I like the overall styling and drive train of the 12-15 trucks the best and am happy with mine over a 16+.
If I were in need of a new truck tomorrow, I’d probably go for a 3rd gen just because of my price on them vs a used 12-15 2nd gen.
Calvary Blue is an amazing color! It’s unique and eye catching without being too flashy or bright. I love it.

 

Wait man are you saying that the second gens are almost more expensive used than a third gen used?

 

Could alsways just repaint a 2nd gen in calvary blue. That'd probably be a sweet look

 

Oh yea man no doubt. At one time back when the second gens first came out I really liked that speedway blue. If I didn't have the truck I have, I would have considered getting a 2009 one and then refreshing it. I could always just paint my Barcelona red one though as red isn't my fav color.

Other than that worthless. I would be afraid to take it anywhere else. For reasons stated above^.
