Hit the range again today... Everything for the most part was crisp. Still having issues with my 3 and 5 woods off of the deck. I'm picking up a bit, hitting them very low...

Golfed in tournament play my whole life... Thought some of you might appreciate the fact that I have shot under par having never owned a pair of golf shoes or a golf glove in my life! Thinking of picking up some Adidas shoes for this season though.

best way to lose strokes is around the green. If you can chip close and make 50% or more of your putts for up and downs then youll lose strokes.

Well... Caddied for my buddy who was competing in one of the US Open qualifiers today. His ball striking was beautiful. Hit 16 greens in reg. Problem was... 40 putts! We were reading them well, he was just having some problem slicing across the ball on his follow through. Sad day, but oh well I figure. Just gotta practice up for the US Amateur!

I played a lot when I was living in AZ. I got down to a 7hcp. Probably ~ 15-18 now.

I have a kind of cool story about how I got my sticks. I had always lusted over TourStage Z101 irons, they are so buttery when pured. I won a auction on ebay for a set of Precept EC603's which are basically a cast copy for like $250. When the box came in it said TourStage on it. I thought OK, maybe they just put the Precepts in a TourStage box. Opened the box and inside were a set of Z101's!!!! Must have been fate.

Since I have stopped playing much I am now using some Callaway X-22's. I'm moving back to AZ this month and will probably start playing again. When I can groove my swing back I will start using the Z101's again.

    In the Bag:
    Callaway FT9 with Fuji ZCom
TourStage Z150 with MCC MFS 75
    Srixon AD hybrid
    Callaway X-22 with DGS300
    Callaway forged X-wedges 52* & 56*
    Bettinardi by Mizuno C-01 putter

and the Tourstage Z101's on standby.

Just got out today finally... Played the local country club. Shot one over with a triple bogey on hole 4. My attempted draw into the green became a hook into the awaiting water.
