I have read every page of this thread. To the poster's on the recent pages: Thank you for your limitless information, testing, comparing and reviewing!

But guys, they're just lightbulbs! I've never seen so many people so passionate about lightbulbs.

Nonetheless, I now have a plan to upgrade the lighting on both my ancient '99 Pre-runner and my '17 TRD OR. You've saved me countless hours of research!! Thank You!

@IPNPULZ , huge post, wow! THX! But I notice the new Hikari's that everyone is  over are not on your list...?

@Parker315 , I'm following your buying preferences, thank you so much! But the @mesojdm interior lighting products are now long gone. Who knows when they'll be back. Thx for keeping your old choices on the list.

One last comment, if I see another shot of the lightbulb on the truck itself I'm gonna go POSTAL!:headbang: I can care less about what the truck looks like. It's the exterior comparison shots like those of Parker315's that are the most useful, by far!

Thank you very much Kirk! I’m glad my reviews were helpful. I try to post exactly what I would want to see. (Lol) You are right this is a very detailed and lengthy thread over LED light bulbs haha

But as you said still very informative and helpful. As for the @mesojdm interior lights. He posted a pic yesterday of everything that came out of the printer so far and I believe it’s only a few weeks out until the next batch is available for purchase. I can tell you it’s worth the wait and the money.

Anyway, glad to be of help and thanks for the appreciation.

Have we talked about these lights that Headlight Revolution does reviews on YouTube about?
    https://headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-gen-3-ultra-series-led-headlight-bulbs-h8-h9-h11/

I know they are ridiculously overpriced but the fact that they don't have heat sink fins or fans make them very interesting.
I was just curious if we have just decided to disregard anything over a certain amount of money, with less lumens?
I think the fans have me worried. Not that I am doubting any of you or I am gonna cross any rivers any time soon, but we do get a shit ton load of rain at times here. And I mean inches at a time. Are there steps we can take to protect the fans? Some sort of open cell foam or filter?

Just saying, with my luck, if anyone is going to have a problem with this, it will be me. LOL I am definitely a Schleprock!

Rob a lot of the LED headlights comes with a 2-year warranty and are IP67 Rain-Resistant. They are designed to withstand the elements and I don't think you would have an issue. I've mention this scenario once before, but computers have a cooling fan that runs almost constantly when powered on just like the lights do. I've been working in IT for 6 years and have never seen a fan go out on a computer yet. I think essentially we are looking at the same concept for these lights. It would be better to see them without fans because it's one less thing to worry about and one less thing that can go wrong. Only time will tell the real truth though.

#8 on the list But from what I have seen so far is that Hikari's have been tested on a very limited basis......Plus what I took from these tests were the best of each bulb in many different multiable condition's. Not so much the best bulb as many performed better in one or the other condition.... JMO

The ones listed as #8 on that list are the old Hikaris. The new ones use the Philips LEDs instead of the CREE LEDs

Maybe the test was done before the new ones came out?

These results were from testing done in late 2017

    JUST LIGHT BULBS!!!!!!!?

Did the away team at NASA tell Glenn "yea, it's Just a footprint, and a step"?!
Did Edison tell Nikola "yea, it's Just alternating current"?!
And this one you should really be able to replate to......
Did Spock tell Scotty after escaping the Romulans "yea, it Just space warp drive?!

The frugal side of me says "mehh, yea, they are yellowish and not that bright but I have been ok with them so far". Talking about the OEM bulbs. Then I drive my Lexus with it's dual led tech and I am like holy crap they suck. I could live the OEM bulbs but I don't wanna. I want better. I think we are all a little passionate about something or another. For us it's bulbs.

But yea, I get it, we can definitely get a little overzealous on this forum, that's for sure. If think this thread is bad, go check out the "going grocery shopping, how to haul groceries home" thread. 15 pages of how to haul groceries! Those guys are completely loco over there. And yeah, I even posted there too.

Holy review post! Somebody buy that guy a beer.

Soo.... why shouldn't I buy three packs of those Nineo's for half the price of the new Hikari's instead of waiting until 2/10??

parker315 I went to your updated link page 58. When I got the Amazon link for the new low beam Hikari Led bulb the link takes me to an H4 Led bulb. Is this correct?

H4 is not the correct size. It defaulted to that because the H11/H9 bulbs are sold out atm.

And aren't H-11 the size we buy, but H-8 & H-9 are the same thing?

H11, H9 and H8 are interchangeable due to the same base size. They offer different wattage lights and shit depending on the bulb - is my understanding.
