Anyone have trouble after adding extended brake lines with brakes being softer after? I helped my mechanic install them and after bleeding them over and over we can't get the pedal to firm back up!

Air in the line or maybe not enough fluid.

Definitely air in the lines then. The new lines if stainless steel would make the pedal a bit firmer. I would try bleeding them again or use a power bleeder

Did you bleed them correctly? Somewhere on here there was a procedure from the service manual and it was quite intensive, several times of key on and off and cycling of the ABS.

VERY difficult to bleed one of these ABS units, especially if the master should happen to get dry or really low.

Almost required to have a tool like Techstream that will cycle the ABS solenoids to be successful.

100% relating to ABS module. No longer are the times of pump it up and hold it while opening the bleeder. You will not be able to get the air out of the ABS system with out the correct tools for the job.

very true, had to take my truck to a dealer that uses a power bleeder machine to regain a firmer pedal after exhausting all other options.$128 bill but worth it.
