    I worked in Jamaica in the 90's and early 00's and they where still putting used oil on the haul roads in the mines, surprised the hell out of me when I first saw it. Their lube bay had drains that just went into a pit and they drained used into that and then the truck would suck out of the pit and put on the haul roads to keep dust down and save on grading...

    That' exactly the way they did it here (NC) back in ther 70's-early 80's.
    When I was 16 I worked at at gas station, full service pumps, self service pumps and a 2 bay garage. My boss saved that used oil, just like you mentioned, until he could get a good price for it. I miss that job, had a lot of good times there.

    I was there with the wife in November when it was prime time for fall color change. We rented a cabin on a mountain there. Absolutely awesome getaway. Got to see in under a week warm,cold,little rain and snow. Nice change of scenery from Dallas tx
