Alucab? Like aluminum? I like the look of this better.

I don’t like the look of the aluminum caps. I wanted something more seamless with the truck.

I can deff understand that. I want painted aluminum windoors a tinted glass back, and a drivers side cargo box. Everyone is quoting me over 3k for that. I really wanted to stay closer to 2k. Any suggestions?

You're talking about aluminum. The ARE sportsman package upgrades the caps capacity to 500lbs. That's moving. Should be more than enough capacity static

I mean you could try to shop around or wait around for specials and discounts. But at the end of the day toppers are expensive and you shouldn’t skimp on what you want since it’s more difficult to modify them after the fact. Also think about how this will likely be a long term modification to your vehicle.

Alu cab canopy with a JB explorer RTT. This canopy is amazing and blows the competition out of the water. I’ll never buy another are, leer or snugtop again. D88849AE-6617-4E2D-9EA8-88B54025A3D1.jpg

Well dang, thanks! I really appreciate it! Relatively modest changes I think, but I’m happy with it. Probably 150 pictures and a lot of info in my build page if you’re interested

No prob brotha, Im all about the clean look; its like its how stock should have been. I can appreciate the mod'd out rigs, some of those are badass, but that subtle "upgraded" look is just plain sexy. well done.

I know. I have noticed Leer runs more expensive than ARE so that might be a way to compromise. I went with Leer after being advised they fit better on the 3rd Gens. I know a lot of guys with ARE that have no problems though.

Question for you guys with leer 100R, how high does the rear window open? Mine opens to just past parallel with the roof, and then hits a “wall” which if you push the door a bit it makes a pop and then opens all the way up.

Sometimes it’ll do that on its own, stall out, pop, and continue opening.

A bit worried about it since the hinge design doesn’t look replaceable? It’s only a month old so I’ll go back to installer if it’s an issue but figured I’d check here first.
