    That is the issue with the platform. If you opt for cheaper variants (like Rock Island Armory for example) the slide to frame fitment is garbage. Tight tolerances are very very important in producing a reliable 1911.

    my issue with the platform is that it's hard to find .357 mag in a 1911 (the Coonan that was pictured is like a $1800 gun or something) I can hold just as many round in a gun that cost a fraction and is more reliable (revolver ftw)
