Couple weeks back I felt a cold starting, had Hot Toddy a few nights in a row and it never got worse than a slight stuffed nose.

Basically it's a shot of bourbon, a shot of lemon juice, and a shot of honey. Mix them together in a mug with hot water and hammer it down, then go to bed. You can add cloves and a cinnamon stick if you want to fancy it up.

Same ballpark, I guess. Basically the citrus and whiskey sear the germs out of your throat, the honey soothes it to keep you from coughing long enough to fall asleep, and the hot water and whiskey knock you out so you can sleep off whatever ails you.

I haven't used Nyquil in years because these work just as well for helping me sleep, without making me stupid the next day. More stupid than usual, that is.

Because of the hot water it goes into your system all at once, no slow absorption rate. It's practically an instant uptake. I've got a pretty good tolerance, but a double shot of bourbon in a hot toddy is still enough to put me to sleep.

I'll be going down 9/1 for a week. It depends on the weather on which one I get.
Last year it was very windy and cool and we just went out for the day.
The year before, my 1st with the Tacoma it calm sunny and in the 80's all week. I got the season pass then.

    Crazy stuff.
    I stop at Aquavit.
