Hell yeah, I'll let you know for sure. And I'll definitely check out the September trip thread.

Later April or anytime May would be best. Would bring my oldest again on a day trip. She had a blast when I took her to Rush.

Still working on the finding a truck topic. Jumped into the "CoPart" auction world, a bit irritating and not all that it seems to be. Can only bid so high as a basic/freebie member. Can certainly "upgrade" that bid limit....for a price/deposit.

Would really like to find something. The distraction would be so welcome.

I've been browsing for 2nd gen no cabs. They just aren't around, or cost too much for ya.

No worries. The search is half the fun really. It gets frustrating, yeah. But it makes what i do end up with a little more exciting.

Post the link. I looked real quick and couldn't find anything.

From looking around, I may have to go access cab. Not opposed, at all. I have not seen one damn Auto Single cab 4x4. They are all manuals.

I talked about frustration and other stuff in a previous post. The frustration at this point is still incredibly high, don't get me wrong. The CoPart thing has been about as useful as a Sex Hookup site. Lured in with pretty pictures, then you basically can't do shit as a "free member" and are forced to upgrade/spend money you don't want to, to have "more privileges." I can't bid more than $800, unless I upgrade. Kind of pointless, eh. Trucks sit with low/no bids the day before it's on auction, come home and bids are up to 2/3K.

I get the Taco's (Yota's in general, but especially the Tacos') have high resale value. Folks think their driving gold bars on wheels though. That one ad I posted, that truck is was 10+ years old, with a blown motor, for 3500??? Yeah. Right. It don't move dude, I don't care if it's a Taco or not, IT DOES NOT MOVE, IT AIN'T WORTH 3500. It's worth 1500. Max.

I've never been one to think the world "owes" me anything. But goddamn, after all the hard work I do and all the bullshit I put up with and all the time I don't see my family and all the times I never call off work, ever, or this or that. I woulda thought I could catch a break, get a little karma. Just once. But naw. I'm looking for a junked up truck for god's sake. Like my job it's self, my coworkers talk about good looking girls prancing around half naked. Never happened to me. I get the fat older chicks whose dogs then proceeded to attack and bite me, true story, has happened twice now within the past 2 years.

I just want a truck. I just want a distraction.

The pipe is still blazin in here, always will be. Just a "blah/grr" kinda aura/mood at the moment.

    :pout:

Indeed. I had been hoping by LBL. But Idk. Was a bit of a dream then. The crash to reality is always a little rough. Eh well. It's just a truck. There are some other topics that have gone about the same as the truck search that has added to my frustration. But those are not for TW, not bad or anything, but stuff I won't get into on here.

I got all these parts. Their going on SOMETHING.

I gotcha man. Life sucks sometimes, no doubt about that. And having parts just sit there is the worst. Something will happen man, I promise you that. Just give it all some time and keep your head up.

In all seriousness, Is there any reason (other than the parts you've bought) you aren't looking for a 1st gen. Kind of makes more sense in every way. Tons of reg cabs. Cheaper. More maneuverable on the trail. Just a thought.

I got the green truck, and when I first got it, I had all intentions of lifting it and wheeling it and so on and so forth. I have had these coilovers forever now it seems. I randomly got on CL one day looking at Tacoma parts and there they were. Dude took my offer. Camburg/SAWs...extended travel...for $400? This is what I mean when I say "things are ment to be", this is how life has typically worked for me, things just fall out of nowhere. I had SAWs on the 5 lug and now had another pair staring me in the face.

So I got the COs and put em aside, needing other parts obviously.

Then I went to AOP with the green truck. And I did what a lot of what I did when I had the 5 lug. Parked at camp, being a passenger. Park was super wet. I wanted to wheel SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. But I had no business taking my truck out at AOP. None. It simply would have ended badly. I was still on those shitty tires I was on at Rush.

    Then I decided I was going to look for/get a 2nd truck/trail rig.

So I can wheel without fucks, come home and DD my green baby without all the worry.

As to the 1st gens. I like 1 gens. I am such a 2nd Gen kind of dude though. And at this point, I am so comfortable in a 2nd gen Tacoma.

You guys have to understand, it's more than just about the trucks at this point. It's about the entire TN group, especially the guys I've known for awhile now. Levi and Gideon, they are my offroad brothers at this point. Mr. Flop is in there too, been around since his and Amy's first TW meet. Cody too, I didn't forget that dude!

With that, the 5 lug sat at camp. A lot. I have always been Levi's passenger, it's a thing.

I got a taste of wheeling at LBL and Rush during the summer in the green truck. But more than the wheeling, it was finally being able to be part of the group, in my own truck. I went 8 hrs at Rush and even more exciting that the wheeling, was just being part of the group.

Then AOP happened. And the old 5 lug feelings came back. I hate it.

Yes, I have a hang up about denting and scratching my green truck. I could never forgive myself.

I know what you mean about parking and not driving. It does suck.
I did it twice at LBL. My first 4x4 trip ever, in my new to me DD. Once with Brent, not sure why that day, just didn't feel like driving I guess. Turns out I would've been fine. Second time, I rode with Matt when we went night wheeling. I didn't trust myself I guess, and I was drinking heavily.

I get it man. Now, I just know not to do anything too stupid so I can get back home. Sure accidents happen, but we have a great group of guys that will make sure we all leave the woods and get home.
