Thanks. This is all being done via email. I did do what you mentioned when I bought our Sienna... same story... got the internet quote, made appt. to see it... they didn't have our appointment down so they scrambled and when they came to deal, they had a much higher price than the internet quote so they had to open-mouth-insert-foot.

Anyway, I did use NADA, KBB, Costco and the price sheet found on here. Invoice on that build is ~$34,800 before destination ($995). I did see their hold back figure listed (like $800) on some paper they sent me so I don't think my desired price was too far off.

Sounds like 36k or a tiny bit below would be about invoice (w/desitantion included in that) so you are close. Depending where you are, anything under msrp can be considered "good", so that is all relative!

I'm shopping for a 2018 Cement DCSB OR 4x4 A/T w/ Premium & Tech packages plus auto-dimming rear view mirror. I've gotten the below offers via email thus far:
    $40,505 MSRP
    $39,500
    $38,979
    $37,950
NADA lists invoice at 37,473 w/o the mirror since it's not listed as an option on their site. I'm seeing elsewhere that invoice on the mirror is $274.
I'm seeing dealer fees range from $377-995.

ETA: The same dealer who we bought our 16' 4Runner from, called me this morning and flat out refused to give me any kind of pricing without being in their showroom despite the fact that they don't have the truck. They played tons of games with the T4R but I thought I'd give them a 2nd chance, wrong decision.

    18 TRD OR DCSB 4x4 A/T #7544
    Cement ext
    Premium & Tech packages
All weather mats, door paint protection, usb charger kit
    MSRP $41,082
    Vehicle Price $35,991
Special order for 12.4% off MSRP!
No trade in, no financing discussions, strictly vehicle price.

I'm one heck of a deal hunter, but even I didn't think I'd do this well. Being month end, 3 dealers were very eager for my business.
I wanted the homelink mirror and don't care one bit for the all weather mats, door paint protection, usb charger kit, but a couple dealers were pushing me to this spec for some reason and the price was far too good to pass up. I'll be getting weather techs so the OE mats will be up for sale.

I have my SCS SR8's, dynapro ATMs, TRD Pro grille, and HID conversion all waiting in the garage, but ti'll likely be a couple months.

    Anyways i'm located in Texas.

    Any Texas dealership recommendations ?

Prices y'all paid would be awesome.

If numbers fail ..... I'll likely go with a 1st gen double cab lol

Might try Toyota of Dallas. Dude on Tundra forum got $8k off on a Tundra. End of model year and rebates. Talked to local game warden and he got $3k off a Tacoma Pro at Toyota Mount Pleasant. He stopped and talked when he saw my Baja at boat ramp.

Very good deal, if not one of the best I've seen so far. Can you confirm that you got leather interior?

    What do you guys think...

    2018 Tacoma TRD-OR DCSB A/T #7544
    Cement exterior
Premium and Technology pkg along with some others that I don't care too much about but whatevs (Carpet floor mats, Exhaust tip, Mudguard, Spare and wheel lock)

    MSRP: $41,807
Invoice: $37,846 (from NADA and Edmunds)
    Agreed Offer: $37,500

No trades. Selling my 2016 4Runner Trail privately. While I think the 4Runner is a nicer and more robust vehicle I find that I haul gear more than I haul people. It's just me and my dog. Would be nice to have a bed to throw crap in at times without worrying about damage.

Thoughts? Going to check out a similar vehicle tomorrow and if we agree then I'd put down a deposit for a March 4 build date. That would at least give me time to sell the 4R.

I think that's a great price. As I posted above I just got mine, nearly same spec, for $35,991, but I didn't expect to get below $37-37.5k. NADA invoice was $37.4k.

I'm working with a number of DFW dealers right now to get pricing on an ordered truck and a couple of them are getting close to invoice - a couple hundred over. This is for an '18 obviously since I'm ordering. Just wondering what kind of deals Texas dealers will do if you play the game enough. I don't mind driving a bit if there's a dealer known to do aggressive pricing in Austin or Houston. I saw Toyota of Dallas mentioned a few posts back but they didn't even respond to my email.

Sorry but that means absolutely nothing to anyone shopping. What was the price of the Tacoma before TTT and fees? At the very least, please share the value of your trade and estimate of TTT/fees so that others can get a ballpark of your price.

Looking to buy a 2018 TRD OR 4x4 double cab, cement grey, tech and premium package. Have had 2 dealers looking for a couple days. Was sent one match this morning. $41,962. Seems high based on what I've read here, but these seem hard to come by, so not sure how much bargaining power I have here. Haven't responded yet.
