You may be intelligent but I am by no means a wordsmith to be able to legitimately put into words how I see what he wrote with the moving of the pivot point and such thus changing the way the springs travel. Personally I think that hitting a guarded pivot point is also better than hitting one unguarded as with a shackle flip.

Just put a shackle flip on the Hammer hangers and call it a day. Run no shocks also, Then the sky is the limit to the droopiness

And only put the main leaf in from the leaf pack. It’ll be real flexy then!

I like their location better than the ones mounted to the actual hood. Seems like they are more out of the way of sight lines. That is one nasty bumper!

I wouldn't say its ONLY good for weight, tho it is beneficial. I would say it is overall better on the leaf springs cuz when ur stuffing the back wheel off roading it wont put the leafs into as much of a negative arch as a flip would. I'm just going off peoples testimonials I have seen and little bits of info here and there. I'm also assuming that my understanding on this is correct  if that makes sense then a check in the pro column would be
    -Longer leaf spring life

So far everything you’ve said is right! At least from what I’ve learned from my research.

Haha yeah I'm pleased with how they mounted, and yeah the bumper sucks up mpgs like a mofo but if there's ever a zombie apocalypse I'll be set.

I will say the ultimate guys to talk to about the differences and benifits and set ups etc for leaf sprung vehicles is the boys over at Alcan give them a holler and talk with them a while.

I saw a guy with an old leaf sprung CJ running these and some custom leafs from alcan F&R he had almost as much flex as these buggy 3 & 4 link set ups

I'm curious how one would net 1/2'' of lift with OEM shackle and leafs if it is sitting 1'' lower tho

EDIT: or is the mounting point for the shackle the same height, its just the beefy-ness that makes the HH itself just sit 1'' lower?
