He's also moving it rearward some so that also plays an affect on the total lift which would put the stock shackle more vertical than it sits now thus negating some of the lift from the 1"drop in height

seems like it hahaha I mean, if u think about it, a shackle flip has no stopping point right? so u would think that it would droop lower then the HH since it has a "droop stop"... yess yess I know very technical terms

Geometry, but that can be magical especially in suspension set up

ohhh yeah okay, cus stock natural state the shackle is kind of leaning back, so moving it back it would sit straight up right?

It does have a stopping point the max droop comes from when the spring is in it's natural resting arch (uninstalled curve) and the shackle should be verticle

Yeah the shackle flip is limited by the length of the shackle. The longer the shackle, the more droop you get, but your resting angle is more extreme, putting more stress on your leafs. Archive explained it in their thread pretty well.

Yeah you're getting it although I am not sure of the equation. I can just do it in my head. It's like that TV show with the 2 brothers one is a math wiz the other a cop and the math wiz solves the crimes well yeah that's how that math appears in my head and I can just visualize it. It makes it really hard to explain in words but I can show it in pictures.

alright alright alright (said in a Mathew McConaughey voice) I get it, so, if the flip allows the stopping point to be the leafs in their natural resting arch position. does the HH allow the leafs to reach this position as well? even with that HH having that stopping point.

If all the stuff is right yes the problem is that the hangers have to travel to the front of the truck and then start heading downward which is why he cut those channels out so they wont hit the perch like the stock ones do.

u lost me there hahaha channels, perch? I would need to see these in a picture, I'm assuming those are things that are on the stock shackle set up? is this also why he moved it backwards, so the leafs can begin the dropping process earlier then the stock set up?
