My guess is yes and that there was a bind with the stock set up when it was going through the arch.

See the 2 grooves cut in the perch so the hanger doesn't contact the perch on it's swing down.

well I would say stock yes, but HH the shackle would be able to sit a little more horizontal

According to this picture, I say the shackle will travel just about the same for both (the shackle moving down while the tire gets further away from the frame)

Oh so on any of the set ups stock, flip, and HH your bumps should stop axle travel so there is a tiny bit of shock travel left and just before the spring goes flat. Setting this up is crucial and just trying to modify something a little past stockish doesn't always yield the best results. But when you design from the ground up you take full advantage of being able to get the best setup. This is kinda where @EatSleepTacos was going with his 1400 spent with a shock relocation and set up.

And sort of where I am too. I have 12" kings, shock relocate, now I am thinking about leaf packs and either a shackle flip or the HH (either with stock shackles or his extended ones)

I should have done it the reverse way, meaning buy the shocks AFTER I determine the amount of travel, but I got a great deal on the kings.

I should get myself some moose head. Last time I had some it wasn't my favorite, but maybe now I would like it lol

I just don't want to spend 350 plus on a HH if it's going to do the same thing, but be beefier. I can make my own for far less if that' the case.

My point about all this is.... did archive do any testing? I'd like to know where he came up with his claims. Did he just make something sexy looking and then said it'll do all these things? Snake oil.

I'm not saying he's lying, but the only thing I've seen to back up his claims.... are his claims.

Looking at the comparison pic you posted and also the HH comes with their "stock style" shackle, my guess is he is correcting a lot of geometry within the stock set up to allow more stuff and droop.
