Might have posted this a while back?? Finally got a price I could live with and bought this today. . . . 67 442. Probably won't actually have it for a couple weeks. Having it hauled from Tennessee . . . just like my Tacoma

1967 was an awesome year for cars, I like damn near everything from that model year.

My first "real car" was a 67 Impala. Shit you not! POS when I got it and only a 283 2 barrel that I converted to 327 4 barrel. Needed a big block!

I was seriously leaning toward a blue 67 SS as a trip down memory lane but I've grown to be a Cutlass dude over the years.

1977 Cutlass was my first "nice car".
1984 Cutlass was my first "new car".
1987 442 I special ordered when I heard the 88s were going FWD 4 banger. Still have it, 28K actual miles.
1967 442 [now added to the family].

[Not to hijack the thread here . . . but]

I would actually like to find a 1977 Cutlass for just an ole cruiser car. The 260 in the Supreme Brougham I had was like 0-60 "maybe" but it was a VERY nice car.

Sadly, they are not remotely collectible so you cannot find them in any kind of shape.

My Buddy had a 76 Cutlass and wrecked it and lost the keys, my other Buddy bought it and we put a new header panel and bumper on the front and a new steering column and he drove it for years, good car.

That's sweet!! For me, the icing on the cake would be a black vinyl top..

Not to nit-pick but I'm pretty sure this is a 1965 Impala. 65-66 are super similar but the two clues are, 1st the 66 has a thin side molding that goes the entire length of the car,
2nd the 66 has long square tail lights that slightly wrap around the corner of the rear fender (like a Caprice), from this angle you would be able to see the red tail light just above the rear bumper.

LOL, nice catch! This reminds me of when a coworker pointed out a taco with a pro grill to me while we were driving down the road the other day. He said “there’s a pro like yours”, and I was like, “actually that has the wrong fog lights, headlights, no scoop, etc...

When you know your stuff...the details stand out, lol!

If we could see it from the rear it would be a dead giveaway cuz 65 has the famous Impala six tail light set-up and 66 has the Caprice style.
If you ever watch "Graveyard Cars", Mark Worman is like the Rainman of Mopars - he literally knows every nut & bolt on every Mopar..
I think I watch that show primarily to watch him geek out about all the details..

Yes, on the last page there's a sick triple black '67 Impala ragtop, but if you look closer at the pic I was referring to a '65 from several pages back.
