2016 OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Manual Transmission / Engine ECU Reflash

Odds are quite high you are a 04B11 it would seem

 

I'm on like page 30 and it seems the current 1.03 files works for all ecu's anyway if I'm reading things correctly thank you for your help

 

Everything you spoke of here is what I Hate about the truck. It seems the 1.03 solves all of them. That bog when in 1st starting out is unbelievably annoying . Time to start sci g pennies lol

 

Yeah man, it isn't perfect yet IMO but still much better than the stock calibration. The next version will probably be on the street by the time you have your kit anyway - so grab a beer, stay tuned and get ready for the gong show that will be 1.03B M/T release day!

Nobody on here really knows exactly when that'll be, but most likely not too long after the A/T tune drops (dyno day for that is 14 Feb).

 

It sounds like his software can tell what ECU version we have, I wonder if I can DL that so I can know for sure? @OVTune

 

From the website, it appears this kit is in stock or am I not seeing it correctly?

If not, is there a waiting list or something to get on?

 

This guy's truck was built 04/16 = 04B11:

AFAIK, you cannot even identify the ECU version with PCMFlash until the USB dongle is properly registered - which means you've already purchased the kit from Mat. As stated earlier, it's also possible to read the ECU version with an OBD scanner. I did it with OBD Fusion/Carista dongle, not sure about others. Anyway, with 05/16 build date you're gonna be 04B11. Rejoice!

Ok. So is everyone else! Have you not read and comprehended what Mat has said repeatedly? He is not sending the files out until they are perfect. I, and most others are perfectly fine with that. Chill out and be patient. You'll get it when it is right.

 

2018 manual transmission files are out.

 

And you're an '18 truck. IIRC there's only 1 guy who has this file, and Mat probably wants to see his feedback B4 general release.

Well, there is a line ahead of you... @MOC221_ is still waiting and has been waiting patiently since the beginning. I have a 16 with the 04B11 ECU and I have a test version of 1.03 and yes I am patiently waiting for the final tune. You have been a member since December so I am only assuming that you have not read all 3 threads on this. You'll get your turn sunshine. Just wait, it'll be worth it.
