@OVTune Mat, could you put this in the OP page 1 so everyone can find it easily?

A few months ago when you asked what features people wanted, I requested a more efficient way to keep track of tune version, octane, and feature sets. Looks like you satisfied my request.

You have been BUSY! Looks like a great approach to simplify both the setup process and make your business more manageable when a new file drops to reduce your ridiculous email traffic!

@OVTune i can’t help but notice the 93 octane option on the dropdown :). Does this mean you’ll be offering 1.03 calibrated for 93 so those of us who don’t have 91 can maximize the benefits of the higher octane?

I have been adamant from the outset that I just wanted to run 87 (I'm a cheap bastard), because you can't get 91 around here...it's 87, 89 and 93 and I don't want to mix the damn gas everytime I fill up to get 91 nor do I want to pay the extra 60¢ per gallon and not be getting the full benefit of it (if I ran the 91 tune). I've also been pretty adamant that I think even with the OVtune the truck will need a re-gear to make me happy...which ain't cheap. I would love to see if the increased torque to be had with 93 octane tune would make me eat my words on the "necessary" regear. Make it so @OVTune !

You know 93 works just fine, right? We don't get 91 here but Mat has mentioned that running on 93 will yield even better results.

Of course I know it works just fine...but I don't want to pay for 93 for a 91 tune. I'd rather run a 93 tune and get the full benefit of the 93 octane.

    93 octane on 91 tune = good
    93 octane on a 93 tune = better

We have 92 in Oregon and Washington. Should he make a tune for that too?

Edit: @OVTune how good is your internet connection/server speed etc. ? Lol, we might find out soon enough.

... the gearbox file was flashed.

When I got my files, Mat said there wasn't a gearbox file. Am I missing something?

There isn't, bshammer is testing some things on his own about the ECU memory reset for the TCU

YES - Apologies if I've introduced any confusion, as the TCU file is only referenced today at point of READ prior to Mat providing your tune files. As of now, there is ONLY one file to flash the ECU, and this file contains the shift / torque aspects of the A/T tune. My TCU flash simply came out of curiosity and a hypothesis that after flashing my truck with various different tune files over the last 6 months and suspected a "reset" of any learned values in the TCU file could be valuable to clear the palate so to speak!

Beta Build Flash Manager is available, so you guys can play with it.
    Only functional features are
Download linking for all the instructions
    Original file ROM Downloads
Note, your original files will download to where the flash manager is saved. So if you save to desktop it will download to desktop

A new version will be released with full calibration download support once I finish up all these new calibration updates

    feel free to poke around

This sounds much better than going to some of the sketchy Russian sites to download some of the things we needed, Good solution @OVTune.

    I like the simplicity.

So the field where you enter the dongle serial number (not active in this version yet) will be the credential required to access tune files?

I assume that info will get the correct file that's locked to my ECU serial number and VIN?
