New headlights have arrived

Yup. I have some adjusting to do today after work. At least all the road signs are perfectly lit

 

I read the google reviews for protuninglabs and although not every review post was specific to these lights it still concerned me about CS and quality of these and other lights. I'd rather not chance dealing with receiving a bad assembly or have it go bad 5 months later..

Aside from different sellers and prices are the products different between TacomaBeast vs Protuning Lab(s)? Protuning also includes an HID kit and at a lower pricepoint.

 

That is true. I only went with Tacomabeast because they have had some pretty good customer service.

 

Thanks for the info. Are you still happy with them? Did you do HID's/LED's for the high beam or signal bulbs? Did you also install relay harnesses?

 

So far I am happy with them. The black housings make the front of my truck so much nicer and I couldn't be any happier. The drl's I wish were brigher, but look wise they are better than oem's. The blinkers are super cool looking when they blink since they are sequential.

I installed 6000k hid's into the headlight part and left the halogen's in the high beams. The signals are already led's so don't have to add anything there. I didn't have to do any relays, it was all plug and play.

Headlights in. They look sharp. I haven't spliced the wires to run the daytime running lights just yet though because I'm a little unsure which ones to cut.

Sorry it is all taped up so i did my best to describe what was under the tape, I soldered everything together but I will go back and do quick disconnects so I will do a better video soon. I know i did a messy job on the caulk , it's watertight, that's all I care about!

Cut the plug off the DRL on new housing, cut the plug from stock wire harness, spliced together. Did a wire tap off of the blue DRL wire, ran it to the brown wire of the fifth plug(also pulled that plug out and cut it), and did another wire tap on the black/white DRL wire and ran it to the black wire coming out of the fifth plug.
