Meh. Generally by week 5 or 6 you can usually guess who's going to win a given contest, barring some sort of fluke, by how they've been playing so far in the season. Not so much this year, though.

Educate thyself. It's not a fact, but it is a fact that most of the people who claim they're just a bunch of cheaters are just butthurt. So when somebody posts something about the Pats that's based in butthurt, I post something to offset it.

    Because :stirthepot:

Only 2 more days until we find out if the Pats can win a 6th Super Bowl in an 18-year span! If they do, all talks will be around if they can 3-peat next year...which is unheard of in the NFL. Hate 'em or love 'em, the Pats are in rarefied air.

They've been caught on several occasions, how's that not a fact? Not are they just cheaters, but bad ones at that because they got caught. Somebody's in denial.

Correction: They've been punished on several occasions. They don't cheat any more than anybody else in the league, but nobody gives a rip when any other team does it. But if the Patriots might be cheating, bring out the torches and pitchforks, because everybody else finally has an excuse for why their team has spent the last 15 years losing against New England.

Zero f*cks, your team sucks. It's just sour grapes from salty fans

Pick a team, any team, and I'll give you a similar list.

But nobody cares, because it's not the Patriots.

That nobody cares about, because it's the Browns. Let's face it, they could be slathering their players with Stickum and videotaping anything and everything from everywhere on the field and nobody would really care, lol.

Shrug. Why do any teams do it? And if everybody's doing it, why would the Patriots be treated any differently?
There hasn't been any hard proof of anything other than the weather impacting the ball pressures involved with Deflategate. The ball that tested the lowest was the one that the Colts had their hands on, which I'm sure is just coincidence. Brady's suspension came from his refusal to cooperate with the league.
Spygate involved the Patriots filming signals from the sideline rather than from an enclosed gallery. Filming signals isn't illegal and never has been, but since Belichick ignored a memo and decided to butt heads with Goodell he got fined, the team got fined, and they lost a draft pick. That next season they went undefeated (until an incredibly lucky catch doomed them in the Super Bowl)

Any other team? Nobody cares. Everybody films signals. EVERYBODY. The Jets violated the taping rule the year before by filming from an unauthorized location, but were never fined and never lost a draft pick. Coincidentally, Roger Goodell worked in the PR department for the Jets once upon a time. Take from it what you will.

Not really. Any time they're in a big game, every aspect of it is going to be scrutinized more closely than if anybody else was playing. Officials will pay more attention to EVERYTHING. I mean, the year that the Colts accused the Pats of playing with low pressures, how much extra attention do you think the officials paid to the balls used in the Superbowl against Seattle?
