I see much of this stuff having the potential to make the message "Fatal Error Reading Drive C:" become much more than an annoyance...

This is true. I don't have any TSS issues after the suspension and TRD Pro grille install either. TSS works great and no dash light errors at all.

The lift won't void your warranty anyhow, so that doesn't really matter. They obviously won't replace the aftermarket parts, but everything else is still under warranty as long as the aftermarket part was not the direct cause of any particular failure.

It would if it's reasonable the lift caused premature wear on the part you're trying to claim.

Try going in for warranty repair on factory shocks if you have spacers in there. Guess who wins that claim?

Thanks for stating the obvious... I would never install spacers as a "lift" by the way. But to answer your question, you would probably win that one in a court of law. I would opt to spend the $50 for a new factory shock in that case.

Hey man, just responding to your comment above "The lift won't void your warranty anyhow, so that doesn't really matter." Just saying you forgot to qualify it with the statement I made.

It's obvious to us and all the long time members on here, but there's also a lot of rookies on here that don't even know the bolt pattern on Tacoma wheels.

Do we have to be such a drama queen? A bit of backup in case of mistakes isn't the end of the world. Caca pasa, folks.

That Cement long bed is badass! Any idea what the specs are on the lift and tires?

It is very likely to be a phased array radar. The antenna is fixed but the beam is steered electronically. The mounting geometry matters. If you replace your grille or put a lift on the truck, you need some dealer support to make sure the safety-related systems are guaranteed to operate correctly.

Part of the factory calibration procedure is to put radar reflectors at certain points in space in front of the truck, and the software verifies that the location the radar reports is the same as the physical location. You need tooling to do the job, and it means that practically speaking you need dealer support to do the mod.

I am not saying you can't transplant the transceiver into the new grille and make sure it is perfectly vertical (if that is how it is supposed to be installed) and parallel to the latitudinal axis of the truck. It will probably still work okay. But the point is that you can't be sure unless the dealer performs the calibration.

One of the parameters the tech has to enter, is the height of the transceiver. The tech seems to have 3 discrete options, and none of them is "Bubba 3" lift." That parameter would not be there, if it didn't matter.
