If I decide I absolutely love the F-150, I'd be tempted to just buy a cheap old Outback to drive in the winter. I don't think I could do a Civic. I've never really had a "car" because I hate them. At least the Outback sits a little higher. Plus, I drive 27 miles over two mountains and there are enough days in the winter where I'd want AWD.

Meh. I picked Civic because I've had them before, and the '96 5 speed was an absolute tank in the snow. With good aggressive snow tires I never had any trouble getting around in bad weather with it. The '00 slushbox wasn't as good, but it was still a pretty solid performer in the winter.

 

Not worried, I just already get enough looks and stares driving my truck in this area. It gets old.

The South is more known for good food and friendly people haha

Same here. I was considering something like a Miata for a commuter for a little while. Wife put her foot down and said she's not dealing with a 3rd car in our short driveway though.

 

Are you sure? Every picture I see shows the center console as being black for a 2013. Maybe your thinking of the shifter bezel? Those are silver or black depending model but every picture I see shows a black center console like this one

yes sir! Ima cut it up next to the cup holder and put in some switchah magiggers and possibly a CB in the slot thing
