Win, Lose or Draw if you eat some good BBQ it's all good.

I'm going to try and hit Costco tomorrow afternoon if I get a break. Sam's was too expensive for meat.

Other than the one, you're right! I thought the foodgasm would have started sooner. Sounds like it'll be worth the wait, though ;).

Oh, hell yes! You all are going all out. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Who all is getting in the Facebook one, too?

After this one, we'll give it until the summer, then we'll do another contest - maybe without the Pitfaced logo requirement. Hopefully I'll have snagged enough good images from you all that I won't need it ;). Lots more in the smoking thread that could/should have entered, but they need to get some Meat Massage in their life!

    I appreciate everyone's upcoming contribution!!!!

Do it! Sounds like it's going to be mostly TW folks on there. Not getting the response I hoped for, but that's alright. It's going to be a great prize for someone!

I think even with the logo is fine. My major problem is it's stupid cold out so it drags down my enthusiasm to go outside and smoke food lol. It's like -3 right now and I had to salt my skating rink (otherwise known and a driveway) so my wife and daughter don't hurt themselves. I was a Popsicle when I got back in.

I personally like lamb but it can have a very strong taste to it which turns a lot of people off. My wife won't touch it say's it's too strong for her.

Looks like me being able to do anything for this one got hammered. Wife came home sick (stomach bug) so probably kills all weekend plans here.

Granted there is some bad tasting venison, but I guarantee if you had anything Ive processed its going to be good.

Rain here as well, smoking my xxxxx tomorrow.

Crab legs, you’re smoking crab legs!!!

Sorry to hear about your wife.

Less competition for the rest of us!!!
    :anonymous:
I’m in the school of thought that venison needs to hang/age for at least five days before processing. Haven’t had a bad tasting product since letting all mine hang.

Thanks, I may try to do something if we don't get the 6"-10" of snow and stupid cold temps. Still need to go to Costco and see what they have. Hoping my daughter and I don't get what she has. Been going around her work.

    Thank ya.

Venison is awesome. My friend had a bunch for me but I hadn't had a chance to go get it yet. Then the worst happened. His freezer crapped out and he didn't know it. He said it must have went out and then somehow came back to life. He said he opened the thing one day and it smelled weird he looked down and saw frozen blood all over the bottom. It had refroze after everything melted. He tossed it all out and now has NONE. He also tossed the freezer and is getting a new one.

somewhere in the 7-10day range for me. I was even surprised at the buck I shot in 2016 was considerably less gamie after hanging for a week. Now I hang them at least a week.
