bed

what is the load that the bed can handle? My friend needs me to pick up a motor for him and i was wondering if the bed can handle it being its plastic

 

I would put the motor on a piece of plywood to spread out the load a little. I think it would be OK that way.

 

its a pickup truck...its supposed to be able to pickup things and haul them. set the engine on two planks of longer pieces of wood and youll be set

 

Payload capacity is about 1200 pounds. You should be fine, unless it's a motor out of a Kenworth.

Put and old tire in the bed and put the motor on that.

It will:
1. spread out the load
2. cushion the motor
3. keep it from sliding around

Works like a charm

 

A lil 302 wouldn't hurt it at all as long as you don't let it slide around and bang into stuff. No where near the bed's limit.... the composite is a lot stronger than you think, and that little 302 isn't even all that heavy.

 

You should be fine, I think the blue chairs put this Taco over the top. just don't stack anything this high, you might have issues.
