So I just bought a 15 TRD Sport and obviously I need to do something about the stance. I happen to have the take-off wheels and tires from a rubicon I had a few years ago still sitting in the garage. I’m thinking about leveling the truck out with 2” up front and throwing the BF Goodrich MTs on the stock Tacoma wheels. They are a 255/75-17 vs the stock 265/65-17 so they will be taller and a little narrower. I’m not worried about fitment, more worried that it might look goofy. Since the tires are already in my inventory of garage crap it would only cost whatever the tire shop charges for mount and balance.

What do you think? Is it worth the trouble or should I just quit being cheap and shell out for new tires?

I think they'd be great on there, plus you already have em. I bet they'll look good too.
