Parking spaces are directional. The spaces are angled one direction, so everyone pulls in the same. Walking up to the store I passed by everyone's beds. I guess I wasn't super thorough about it; somebody could have had a shovel or chains in the back, just nothing that sat above the bedsides.

Toyota engineers designed this front end to “drop a tornado of elbows and fists on water crossings, curb stomping the water away from the intake” instead of PUSH. “...we prefer not to “suggest” the water move. That’s for pussies and vegans” -Hiroki Shinoda

I wonder how the two would do in comparable water crossings. I am prepared to be disappointed.

The Ranger of the past is different than the Ranger of today. This thing is now designed for hellacious Austrailian conditions and mining work. The strength and durability of a full size in a midsized truck. Hopefully the engine and drivetrain that goes in it state side is nearly as good.

Those overseas builds are stout. I have no science to back this up. I could just go google it, but I won’t. The ugly ass hilux and ugly ass ranger... it saddens me to say... may be stronger. But the US ranger will probably just be ugly and not strong. We shall see.

Obviously I consider my truck way better.

Oh it will be a fancy gadgeted fluffy “off road” truck that will be prone to breaking down mall crawling

What do y’all think of the Chevy Avalanche? Just curious. I saw one drive by my house and it had a “Rough Country” sticker all the way across the windshield and it was obviously stock and I don’t even know if people have ever lifted one. Kinda made me chuckle.

If mine was to break down at the mall, I want it to look aggressive and off road ready. This is my truth.

I actually like the way the new ridgeline looks and how they actually tried to make it look like an actual pickup this time instead of a hybrid. The ground clearance was significantly lower than the Tacoma though but other than that it had some real nice features that the Tacoma did not. It basically felt like driving the Honda Pilot which is very smooth. I only chose Tacoma over the Ridgeline because of the resale value. Tacoma has proven itself over the years as a top contender for resale value. The new Ridgeline doesn't have enough years with the new design to back up in resale value so I decided to go with a known factor instead of an unknown factor.

My opinion of any full size and it’s owner are generally “I assume we have nothing in common ever, please don’t speak to me”

If you chose the Tacoma because resale value, the Tacoma is not truly in your heart. You just happen to own one. For now.

I actually really did want the Tacoma over it. Always been a fan and love Toyota. But resale value was a big factor. Definitely like the way the Tacoma looks better and feels more like a truck too.
