Can I get suggestions on brands/models for armor & sliders?

    Goals- Protection, Weight Conscious
Usage- Camping/Overlanding, Backcountry Access, (Rock Crawling may come into play, but no experience currently and if I do, it will be for exploration not the main focus)

Armor- Suggestions on coverage... full length, including LCA?

Sliders- would also like to be used getting in and out of cab. I am putting on approx. a 2" suspension lift.

Mobtown or BAMF. Flip a coin, many good brands/products on here, check the wait time. If you're close to socal, there's a member on here that does custom work and even installs for you @Shmellmopwho

Love my @Mobtown Offroad sliders and skids. They have taken some real hits.

You can also get sliders at a custom angle of 0* with fill plates for a great step.

I approve this message haha. Jerry makes a bomb proof slider and Ryan is a great dude too. He helped us on a minor hickup. Really, you cant go wrong with any of them.

I'm running @Mobtown Offroad (JOETOWN) sliders and armor. They make good stuff. BAMF makes quality stuff too but they are 1/4in skids. More for the rock crawlers and people who actually wheel their rigs. Since you said you are trying trying to save on weight JOETOWN also offers aluminum skids which are substantially lighter but also more expensive. As far as the rest of armor, LCA skids i would go with BAMF because bad customer service with RCI and i won't ever buy a product from them again and pefreybilt for the gas tank skid.

Bamf has my vote. I have the trilogy set and sliders. Very happy with the product.

@BudBuilt I have been very pleased with their customer service . Top notch, small organization so they actually care about their customers, respond in a timely manner, and they are cool people.

I recently installed RCI sliders and am very happy with them. My '18 has a 2.5" lift + 33" wheels so it's clearly a stretch to get into versus a stock build. I bought mine with a 5-degree bend so that the sliders would also serve as a step. Happy with the look and the strength/rigidity of the sliders. Well-made and solid.

Just ordered a set of the 5 degree with top plates. Needed easy access for the wife and kids. Do you have any pics as to what the five degree looks like? Have been curious if it sticks out a lot? Thanks in advance.

Where you located? Big plus if you are near a good builder to pickup instead of shipping heavy parts.

No worries! Thanks for the picks. Won’t be able to put them on till sometime in the end of April. Have to paint them as well. They look good, how are they for you? Great choice in tires by the way. I am however in envy over your wheels. Wish those would have come stock on the trd off-road.

The sliders are as solid as a rock. I believe they come with instructions to mount six bolts per side, but I was able to use another couple holes in the sliders and frame to have at least eight bolts in each. They are really strong.

Now, the only downside of these - and the same would be true for any similar slider - is that because they don't stick out very far (something I actually like about these RCI sliders), and the fact that they are high up (as opposed to dropped lower toward the ground), it's actually not a tremendous help as a step. My son uses the back with the kick out all of the time, but my wife doesn't have as much of a step to really help out.

Ultimately I do like these a lot and recommend them fully.
