If thats is true what a fucking D-Bag. Dont regret anything, be glad you didnt buy from them, considering. Glad I didnt. I didnt buy from him because I got it from my dealer cheaper. So then what he told me was probably bullshit. Nice way to help out the community. They can kiss my ass and my money good-bye. I will buy some wheres else.

Yeah man, that guy pissed me off. Called him out on FB. I will go out of my way to not buy anything from him or to make sure I don't send business his way.

I don’t blame him he’s trying to run a business. In the end it doesn’t really matter we will know soon enough.

You do have to blame him. The guy has higher prices and just because we can get it cheaper else where he wont say the specs. Fuck him. Maybe if he was more helpful people wouldnt mind paying a little more. In the end he is fucking him self. He doesnt give specs, has higher prices amd is a dick. No one will buy from him, I know I wont. And the numbers will come out in the end.

Maybe you should reread it. It's pretty straight forward. I can break it down sentence by sentence for you if that helps.
Affirming that it's a great deal and nice suspension and helping to confirm suspension similarities. Telling people to get the suspension that meets their needs.

Oh, and in the second post, trying to understand why some armchair Internet jack xxx thought he should take the xxxx out of his hands to comment on a helpful post.

Edited to avoid a ban! Lol

I understand “trying to run a buisness” but could have been smarter about it. Numbers will be out soon enough. He would have had a lot more to gain by sharing / helping the community than being stingy like that.

He will likely lose more buisness that what he will gain from this shenanigan.

I rather spend a little extra and buy from vendors that give back to the community.

He most likely would have gained more business had he shared the info.

Well he misread his target audience. But I can see if from his point of view also like hey pay a little extra and you will have the answers to your questions I already figured out for you with time and effort. I wouldn’t pay more for that but maybe some might

I caved and bought. Picking up at the local dealer for just under $630 as long as the online order goes through.

Seriously hoping I can leave the rear stock and not have a bro lean. I'm on the fence about picking up an ECGS bushing. Since it's winter here I've got some time to figure it out before I install.

Shouldn't need the bushing, it's a factory suspension and you're only getting 1.75" on second gen and .75 on third gen. (probably)

I'm really on the fence. I needed it for my 2G with just over 2" of lift.

I'm tempted to buy it and then try it out. If I need it, so be it. Since this is all pre-assembled swapping the uprights should be super quick. With my 2G all the work and time was out back.

EDIT : I saw a photo posted with assembled top hats. Do they come ready to bolt in or do you need to assemble them yourself? Not a bit deal but being able to just swap uprights would be awesome.

This is kind of whats wrong with America though and why there's very few "experts" anymore. Remember when REI used to have genuinely knowledgeable staff?? Well people would use their knowledge then order online. I mean I get it but its kinda silly those same people then turn around and complain there's no places like REI used to be....

Its the people willing to sacrifice customer service to save a few dollars that are creating this race to the bottom where actual service is the first thing to be cut.

I mean buy from someone else if you want but don't get all salty because he then won't help you out FOR FREE... that just makes you look cheap not frugal.

If you really believe that you should try working in sales sometime.... I WISH it were that way but people have no fucking loyalty. You can be as nice and as helpful as you want but people will still just sell you down the river to save $5. You have to build a following first and then build on that loyalty... but you won't get there just by being a "nice guy" and helping people out for free.

Help out YOUR clients, and build a foundation from that. Working for free for strangers online isn't going to get you anywhere but feeling used.

I don't think he handled it well and certainly could use some PR training for better word tracks... but I doubt he had much business to gain by working for free anyways... either way his decision. I don't understand why people are so salty about it :notsure:
