Spacers aren't as bad as y'all are making it seem... Majority of full size trucks on the road that want 35s and 20s run spacers/leveling kit. I had a spacer lift/leveling kit that it came with when I first purchased my tacoma. It was just fine just rode rough. But it's not going to be the end of the world if you decide to get a leveling kit for your Tacoma. And not even going to be that bad.

Some people just want the look or want to sit higher for under $160 which is nothing wrong with that but if you are planning on offroading then save up for a full suspension set up as the others mention

Edit: leveling kit like under 2" haha not a 3" that you've shown.

I have never had the 5100’s so I can’t comment on the difference in ride with the 5100 and 6112.

I have the rough county kit on my 16. I didn’t get the spacer kit with mine, I got the lifted struts that they offer. I have no issues at all with them.

Sweeeeet! The black rims jut pop with the white trucks. Just enough machining on the wheels to keep them from looking like everyone else's black wheels. Kick A$$ look for sure!

Some of these decisions seem to depend on where you live. No heavy rock crawling around here, just mud. I went to three offroad shops about lifting my2017. All three recommended spacer kits up front and when I asked one of them about going the Blistein route he said "why would you replace a perfectly good shock." I would bet that 90%+ of the trucks around here [chevy, ford, yoda, etc] use spacer front lift. FYI, I live on the tx/la border... lots of rain, lots of mud.

Anyone else have experience with the lifted struts from RC? Do they solve the issues others have expressed with spacers?

OMG enough with the spacers will get your daughter pregnant nonsense. Know your limits. Don’t go all Bo Duke and it’s fine.

5100’s are better sure, but aren’t impervious either. Just sayin

I currently am running the rough country lift 3/2 on my 3rd gen tacoma its not the spacer kit but a shock and strut combo with blocks in the rear I had 33s that were rubbing and now have no issues at all also the alignment was fine and so far it foes ride better then stock needs a gearing but truck looks great paid 600 for my lift 20200424_160710.jpg

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
If you go 5100s use your stock coils because OME will sag. I have seen it twice on the neighbors truck. He is on factory coils, and Bilstein designed the struts to be used with the factory coils that it doesn't void the Bilstein lifetime warranty. Also do let the setting discourage you and hearing that it compresses the coils and the ride gets worse. Complete non sense as I have two Tacomas riding on factory coils and one on the 4th setting and another on the 5th. Both ride the same as everything setup on the two trucks is identical.

How's the ride compared to stock? Worry long time since you posted but thinking of going this route. 3" lift rough country lifted struts up front with the n3 shocks with blocks in the back. Any problems with it now since it's been three years?

What's your tire size? Thinking of going this route. Love the look! How is it doing now since you posted this about a year ago. Does it do good offroading? I don't do anything crazy just some mudding whenever I get some rain here in Phoenix,AZ. And also did you install the diff drop that's included in the kit? I've been hearing diff drops aren't worth it because it causes bigger problems in the future?
