I have 285s currently. Coilovers up front, set at about 2.5 inches, 1" blocks in the back (to be replaced by the five leafs) No rubbing problems.
    Also 5100s in the back

I already run that on my stock suspension that is saggy with 116,000 miles.

Would it look stupid.......same tires, but lifted more?

285's would definitely look better but you going to rub a bit. If your willing to deal with that then go for it. I would personally go 255/85-16 to get the 33" height but will fit better due to the narrow width.

On a side note, how do you like the definity MT and what load range do you have? I was looking on the pep boys site and it seems like they only offer an E load range in the 265/75-16 size.

I run 265/75/16 All Terrains on stock wheels. They're wearing out so I'm thinking 285s as well.

Were you planning on sticking with those tires after the lift? I don't think it'll look goofy.

Yeah, the load range is E.

I got them last June, so almost a year.....not exactly sure how many miles, ill have to look later when i get home.

I just keep them rotated regularly, and so far i have no complaints. I needed something fast when i got them, or else i wouldve went another route. But, for the price.....they're not bad.

See above, I edited while you were typing. Probably moving to 285s when these wear out.

Yeah, the load range is all thats holding me back from getting them. I just can't take that hit in MPG.

I'll probably put the lift on and run like that for a bit to see if I really ned to go up in size. And to squeeze what life I can out of the current tires.

Yeah, I'll def put it in the build thread. It needs more than pics of the truck getting washed:laugh:

Lol, it is a pretty intense build. Mine isn't much more than yours.

Yeah, I need to start a build thread, too. Let's see:

    window weatherstrip replacement
cupholder rubber flappy thing upgrade (real rubber from hardware store)
    weathertechs

    I am hard-freaking-core, man! :headbang:

Actually, I did do a extra backup light mod that required bracket fabrication, and it turned out pretty cool. I can see a helluva lot better now backing up at night.

    OK, getting off-topic....

These springs, shocks, and bushings will be the most significant work yet. Hmm, can I justify an impact wrench and compressor now...hmmmm.

Having an impact wrench is sooo nice! Rotating tires is so much faster and easier.

Yep, these are the ones I was refering to. I don't get on here much. I bought a pair and they settled in at about 1.5-1.75 inches higher than my stockers were new. I like 'em. I was just throwing it out there. But I didn't change anything to put them on my 2000 TRD truck. No longer brake line, no exhaust relocater. Just bolted in new springs. Mebbe why I got less than 2". Also was 5 leaf which seems to ride better than the old ones. I paired w/ 880 coils and looks about right. Lil higher but not enough to clear bigger tires.
