I'm gonna do it soon tho, along with rear diff oil change. The last fishing trip to Sleepy Creek lake, I had to back a little further down the boat ramp to load it back on the trailer....may have dunked the whole rear axle

To those of you that are planning on getting the EZ Down Tailgate Strut and also removing the support cable, I would suggest that you avoid putting any sort of weight on that side of the tailgate if you have it down. I did it this morning and I noticed immediately that the left side was sagging a bit, mainly because the strut is supporting the entire weight of the tailgate once it's down. I have the Mobtown Offroad steel tailgate skin and cap so it's definitely heavier than the stock tailgate.

I'm probably going to put the cable back in eventually ... but I'm lazy and it's too damn cold outside.
