    Hello fellow toyota lovers!

I recently got my first tacoma: 2007 crew cab trd sport. Silver. Manual. I like it but want to do a small lift for rugged look, bigger tires, some off roading. Mostly a commuter and sometimes throw a couple dirtbikes in the back.

Ive read numerous threads on lifts and its overwhelming. I cannot do work myself, no garage or experience. :/ I dont want to have to have the steering column or the gas lines messed with, just want to lift the body or a suspension lift. Its all stock right now. I kinda have a tight budget, installed for 1000 or less hopefully.

Can you all help tell me what exactly I need to purchase for a 1.5-2.5 lift. Im a noob for the mechanical talk but Im learning. I was checking these out, Ill try to attach a picture. Please include links if youre recommending something. A shopping list would be awesome.

    Thanks!

Installation will cut into the budget quite a bit, if you get the parts for at/under budget and some local guys who are willing to help, you can get more bang for your buck.

Trd offroad or trd sport are not "base".
Those are a few thousand dollars over a base model

I do have a friend who installed his own, I could probably ask for a favor. That opens up my options a little. I really just need to know what all I need to get. Thanks.

If you go over 2 inches of lift aftermarket UCAs are recommended to maintain alignment. Some people disagree and haven't had any problems with stock UCAs, they can also be added in the future if you have alignment issues after lifting.

OME nitrochargers with OME 885 springs will get 2 inches in front (for 2nd gen) and an add a leaf in the rear with OME nitrochargers should level it out for under $1000... unless you want to get the full leaf pack like they recommend.

Yeah, that was my worry with a lift in the first place. Im happy to max at 2". So from the pic in the original post, those springs, with the 5100a on the bottom- would that complete what id need?
    thanks!

    Almost

Also get a 1/4" top plate lean spacer for the DRIVER side.

I am in OR. I do have basic tools and my neighbor has the rest. From the link you sent, which options would I select for the rear and strut? Like I said, I know very little. Thanks

885's will get about 2" and for the rear I would go with the Headstrong 3 leaf. And get it assembled. That will save a bunch of time.

1.25 in wheel spacers to top it off? Or do those decrease functionality? Thinking ill get new wheels and tires before too long so are spacers a waste in that case?

If you don't put a 1/4" spacer on the driver side coilover there tends to be a lean to the drivers side. This is because the gas tank and battery put additional weight on the drivers side of the truck.

Also all you need are some 885 coils, bilstein 5100 front and rear shocks, and a progressive add-a-leaf. That will be a complete lift kit and will get you 2.5".

Oem coils are side specific to "help lessen" tacoma lean.
Aftermarket coils are NOT side specific, (your add a leaf will be side specific due to a brake line bracket, and front to back is specific... check instructions... i THINK longer section faces rear.... but i may be wrong, its been a few yrs).

The tacoma has the battery, the gas tank, your fat ass, and prolly a few other items that cause the drivers side on all tacomas to eventually lean on that side.
