What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

looking up some offroad places that i can go to start wheeling. going to start easy first since i dont really have armor. i have stock bumpers and skid plates but thats it. also finished welding my test roof rack. going to do some strength tests tomorrow since its doubling as a roll bar as well for extra lights. but if i do get a roof top tent. when it's folded it'll sit flush with the cab

Been there, done that:

 

Slowly getting all the dynamat in. Debating whether or not to do the roof..

And got my k&N air intake installed.

 

if you can, id do it. Its very flimsy and will help.

hope you did the back wall before the floor. Won't do a lot doing the floor.

And did you not like your speakers?

Did some donuts in the snow

 

They seem really nice and smooth. Didnt have the proper wrench for the ss brake lines so I guess im not fully done yet.

 

I washed it... I’m gonna have to replace the carrier bearing again, I don’t know wtf up with it.

 

Doing a custom sound system in the truck so just covered the hole for now. Will cut it out for speakers when I start installing it all.

I have like 200SF of the dynamat so I think I could probably layer the truck 10times lol. Back wall is almost done, but will need to remove some of the brackets before doing much more.

Also will have a roll cage built so didn’t do all the corners yet.

There’s just metal rubbing metal somewhere right there, both sides of the bearing get warm after a short drive. I changed it yesterday and don’t know if I did somewhere wrong somewhere.

 

I started that today too, except from the top down.

Thanks! This project has taken up a very disproportionate amount of time compared to everything else I've done on the yota haha. It will be so nice to have all my wiring cleaned up and done properly though.
