Best part was the free welding lessons. Gave me enough confidence to pursue the purchase of a welder in the near future.

Tax form 1099. Used for contract work if I remember right. Being a web designer, I used to do a lot of contract work. I say if you've got nothing better going on, take it. How long is the job for and is there the possibility of a permanent position? If it's contract, at least you have an easy out should you not like it.

No, not under Slater or Ryanlaughland. It’s ok though. That’s a good sized list.

I'm gonna go check out these roads tomorrow morning sometime. Probably just stick to the main road of winding pine since I'll be by myself and on have a set of recovery boards and shovel. Not sure what time yet but probably late morning.

I'm kinda fascinated now with this property and the legal struggle. I found this article from late last year which sounds like they are still going back and forth on whether or not for the land dispute to go back to a district court. What's sad is Bastrop has almost spent $850,000 fighting this development when it's estimated it will bring in millions in tax revenue once it is developed. If they're trying to persevere the pine forest, that's fine by me but if not it's a silly money wasting battle. (IMHO of course)

it is a permanent position and the offer to me is 30 per flag hr........I did do contract work for Haynes once.........the wife was working so the taxes were more or less taken care of.......that was before bamacare and all that bull.......

Just wondering if it is worth it as a full time job.......or if I should stick out the job I have and try to find a second job.......since the taxes and crap are taken out and look into jobs that get me out of turning wrenches for piss pay......

Anyone is welcome to chime in here.....anyone know anybody in the security field?
