Started the other day having to work on the roof repairing and painting the towers and numbers got that done


Then they decided to have me build a new fairing on the rear corner of the plane mate it's the bare panel in the left of the pic all formed out of aluminum. Then they decided to have me just go ahead and sand the sides a repaint the whole thing yippee! Kinda hard to tell but this is as big as a house you can see the man-lift in the pic as a refference


This was in the body shop it was a complete color change I did a couple of years ago but somebody decided to hit it in the rear

 

I'm actually surprised they still use those people movers at airports.

 

The plane mates are used at airports all over the country especially for overseas flights. A lot of the time these flights will land and don't have a real gate to mate with so these go out and off load the people and take them to the customs area. The mobile lounges we have are different they don't raise and mate to the planes they simply dock with the terminals for passenger transportation. We still use them and are the only airport that has them as they were designed for Dulles when it was built in 1962. We do have an underground train now but they still use the mobile lounges

 

Who all has plans for the super bowl ? Just curious who will be around to harass :}

Being as I'm not really routing for either team I'll probably just watch for the commercials. I would prefer to see New England win though
