Sounds expensive! Ordering your truck is like getting what you want at McDonalds. Ever try haggling a price down on your fast food? It doesnt work!! :)

Thats when they adjust the price.

Actually true- it’s called a Market Value Adjustment or MVA, where the dealer is saying the market price is higher than MSRP, so you are paying the current market value. Its definately negotiable... Just back your offer up with other dealer prices.

Not expensive at all. The dealer just added it with the trucks they were bringing in anyways. Got what I wanted and didnt have to hunt around. No body drove my truck around as a test Drive to. I knew the manager and when the truck came in, he took the keys after it was parked in the front for me to pick it up....

Nice! I could have gotten a grey interior instead of black doing that? Well, I took the leftover truck on the lot at the end of the month, so haggling was easy. Im good with black inside now, like the lack of inside window glare with it when sun shines in :)

    Edits: Dang phone buttons!!:)

You can't order a truck that's custom made. You can only order one that is within their parameters.

They upped the price 5K? Supply and demand can be a PITB.

My sticker on my MT was $34,418

Right. Half the time, the dealers throw on so much crap, you're stuck trying work a price for that vehicle. I simply wanted a 16 TRD OF DCSB with NO tech package, I wanted a tow package and front bra protection. I got exactly what I wanted.

Yeah, always wanted OEM plate bumpers and sliders with my OEM winch and cap, but they wouldnt do it. Grey was an option, but the dealer didnt have one and they really wanted to sell the one I got, so it didnt take much to get a good price on it. My son worked Toyota sales in college and recommended going to lots the last days of the month for easier dealing - he was right.

I think Grey Interior is only an Option on SR and SR5

Ah, now I understand your point- they didn’t tell me that- they just said they didnt have one.

It's kind of hard for me to understand how it works. When I was looking for mine, I was torn between an AC and DC. I was told "An AC will be a Sport, and a DC will be an OR."

Pulled up next to a DCSB Sport in the Wal-Mart parking lot the other day and peeked inside... it was an MT. Scratched my head for a minute.

Sport comes both ways, and the OR is only DCSB.

Must have been supply... I was told I could only get a Sport MT in AC... they probably meant "Sport ACs are all that's left."

You're looking for a truck that 90% of people don't want. I looked for months just to find a MT to test drive. I had to order my truck took about 3 months to get. I have a QS, TRD OR, SB, 4X4, MT. with tow package, no premium, or tech pkg. Hold out for what you want it's worth the wait!!!!!

I know, then they also had a 6-speed OR DCSB :) but it didnt have a tow package :(. I said, oh i want one like that with a tow package, and they said it didnt come with it (but really, it just doesnt have the AT oil cooler). Some of those guys really dont know what they are selling, so next time I buy one with questions, the first one I will ask is what type of car and year do they personally drive!

I have the tow package, which on a manual I think is just the receiver and wires.

Btw, if you want a towing BEAST, get the manual.

Truck cap , husky liners, deflector shield, ARE truck cap.
Checkered Flag Toyota in Va. beach might have it. There is some discrepancy with the transmission. Toyota says manual ,dealer says automatic.
