    Tacoma Gang,

As the title says, I'm new to Tacoma World, but not new to Toyota pickups. My 1st Toyo truck was a 1991 SR5 V6 extended cab that I put over 350,000 miles on before selling it. A few years ago I purchased a used 2003 Tacoma std cab 2.4L 4 speed auto transmission model with 160,000 miles on the clock. Since buying it, I've put another 40,000 miles on the clock.

When I bought the Tacoma there were no service records available, but the vehicle ran well and reliably. I started a catch-up maintenance program and replaced all fluids, filters, hoses, belts, and any light bulbs that were not working. I've also run many pints of Seafoam fuel treatment thru the fuel system at 3-month intervals which seems to have smoothed out the idle and acceleration of the engine and improved the city fuel mileage to a consistent 25mpg.

More recently, I replaced the front rotors, calipers, and pads and adjusted the rear drums and e-brake. I also bought 4 new tires and had them all balanced. I also replaced the w/s wiper blades for good measure. So now, the vehicle is pretty tight, comfortable, safe, reliable, pretty thrifty, and a joy to drive. This is all good... because this is my daily driver.

In the near future I'm planning to replace the spark plugs and install a K&N high efficiency filter element. I'm also exploring the world of cat-back exhaust systems. So, if anybody's got any recommendations on after market exhaust systems that work well with an older Tacoma, I'm all ears...
