Your warranty can not be voided for installing new leafs. The most they can argue is faster wear on u joints. They have to prove that this caused the wear. It may mean a hassle at the dealer but no warranty void! See the Magneson-moss Warranty Act of 1975.

My Tacoma is heavily modified and I have had no issue and statements that there will be no issues with warranty claims.

Would you happen to have the rest of the installation manual handy? It should be pretty straight forward, but I prefer to do stuff "by the book" when Toyota wrote it :)

Looks like it's for a tundra...probably same guidelines but torque specs may be different

After seeing the recent install I’m thinking about doing these + 1/2 spacers and and an add a leaf. Am I right in saying they come pre-assembled with one clip at a higher setting to accommodate for driver side lean?

$629 after shipping for me, still not bad.

Will probably add the 1/4” spacer and 3leaf progressive AAL as well.

@Lt. Dangle So the spacer has to be assembled within the coil/shock assembly? Don’t know why I was thinking it was just placed on top of the whole setup, but underneath the bucket (if that even makes sense).

TRD PRO Kit ordered and for the last 18 hours I can’t decide between the full Dakar package:
    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p462/Old_Man_Emu_Dakar_Leaf_Package_-_DakarPKG.html

Or just a 3 leaf AAL:
    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s...Add-a-leafs_with_u-bolts_-_HS-TOY055-3AL.html

I like the cost of the AAL, but it comes with extra work at install. Instructions also reference a TSB that could require modifications to the stock leaf pack to use the AAL. I’m worried that on a DCLB with my shell and rack the AAL won’t give me enough lift. Worried the medium Dakar’s may give too much lift for the rear shocks but like the install of remove old, insert new, be done factor. Targeting 1.5” in back. Buy once cry once is my typical approach.

Anyone else have anything to add to this logic?

Just ordered my set. $621.01 shipped to Rochester NY. Any shop worth their salt should be able to put these on, right?

It's literally a bolt in stock suspension upgrade... the only special part is screwing the in the reservoir mounts...

With a topper, I’d suggest but once cry once.

Remove the 3rd leaf from the Dakar’s
before install and you should get 1.5” of lift. If it’s not enough, put it back in.

1/4" spacer goes on top. The spring perch spacer goes in the assembly and requires you to disassemble it. If you use the 1/4" spacer, you are going to have to take one apart to move the base since they come set up to factor for taco lean though. Or you could use a 1/4" spacer on both sides I guess. That way doesn't sound ideal too me though, but it could be done.

I have a topper and a rack and a bedfull of gear always. This is my plan of attack as well.

I might be confused then. Are you adding to top 1/4” spacer to your kit, or the spring perch spacer on the bottom?

    I apologize for my ignorance.

I’m guessing he’s going to move both snap rings to the top position, then add the spacer to the driver side for the lean. This will get more lift out of these coil overs similar to a standard 6112.
