AC Compressor went out in my E320, having the same shop who did my flexplate fix it. Don't want to deal with purging the AC system - and the obvious curse that is trying to fix German engineering.

Just wondering what you guys have paid for an AC compressor replacement at a shop - they're charging around $800 iirc.

Think the Tacoma has a leak somewhere too, I recovered the refrigerant and recharged it myself when I had access to a shop and the AC tech told me I had a slow leak somewhere.

    IMG_2878.jpg

Oh and I tried to sell my transmission jack on Craigslist. I got one of this fuckwads trying to scam me by the use of a money order. Instead of calling them out on their obvious scam I thought id play their game to waste as much of their time as possible.

Idiots. This country is full of idiots.

    IMG_6310.jpg

EDIT: The saga continues. Let's see how long I can play him along.

    IMG_6311.jpg

Now that I think about you can remove transverse engine transmission with a normal transmission jack, but do you really think this asshole knows that?

Tackled the passenger side rear main leaf bushings.
The bolt actually came out easy.
The bushing was pressed in and we used a drill bit to remove bushing material. After one broken bit, the bolt sleeve came out.
A quick torching got more bushing material out.
Sawzall to the outer bushing sleeve that was rusted to the leaf eyelet, two cuts and then hammer chisled out.
    Wire wheel to clean up.
Daystar bushings with greaseable bolt slid right in.

Then performed a re-do on drivers side.

My compressor went out at 400k or something, I don't remember the place but it was in Florida that deals just in AC compressors
I got a new compressor for 250 and condenser for 50.00 and had a shop install it for around 250.00, that was 150,000 miles ago

Good deal. Guess I'm just paying the premium since it's a Mercedes.

When I did my 4x4 conversion I dropped the sway bar for more room. I drove without it for a couple days on the stock suspension and it was terrifying. Body roll was massive - felt like I was going to tip over.

Safe to say I put that back really quickly. Guess it doesn't help I have the original suspension.

I took mine off a week ago and don't notice any change in body roll at all. I do have a complete OME suspension which I'm sure makes a difference.

Even with an OME (881 coils) suspension I still put mine back on. Don't like the extra body roll at all.

Yeah seriously felt like I was going to roll the truck just making a turn on a dry paved road. I take that sway bar for granted.

Performance cars have those strut bars to link the suspension on each side, can see why they need it now.

I didnt take mine off until i had 700lb coils, not scary at all with these puppies, but regardless i dont blame you. My suspension was completely shot when i started upgrading. I would hit bumpstops just going up my driveway.

I only have 92k on the suspension but the rear end is completely shot.

    I wonder why...

Im pretty sure the patent is up. I was contemplating this about a year ago and looking into the patent rights. From my understanding it wasn't paid for thus after a certain amount of time it expires. This was my undunderstaning of what i was reading. Id rather read electrical schematics than that legal jargon.

Anyone else having problems with there keyboard on TW. It's completely messing up words I type and predictive text isn't working. See my undunderstand undunderstand above.
